Yes...I do. They are either deciding between WL ding or WL admit. If they were going to ding you I think they would have done it already. My guess? That long break between dings and WL was them going through and narrowing down about 100 "11" applications for X number of remaining spots. They did some pruning and are going to make final decisions in the morning. Mindless speculation? Yes, and I actually try to avoid this, but it makes more sense in my mind for them to be working between WL admit then WL ding.MannaMan wrote:AHHH

I don't follow your blind speculation. You think dings are done, and they are deciding between who to WL and who to straight up admit tomorrow?wert3813 wrote:Yes...I do. Yeah. That makes more sense to me than ding--WL--ding.callmemaybe84 wrote:I don't follow your blind speculation. I think we will see a few admits tomorrow and most people waitlisted.

I haven't posted here before now but I'll weigh in. Still heard nothing...I guess I'm not in the "most" category? How many out there still haven't anything? Submitted at the end of November

Facebook group still isn't full, so unless they're gonna use the WL more heavily this year, there have to be some admits tomorrow. But I also don't think straight-up dings are done. There should be 30 rejections on TLS, and there currently aren't.callmemaybe84 wrote:I don't follow your blind speculation. Fair...I would say late at night and they will trickle in...but usually it the auto dings that trickle in after the fact the people with competitive numbers are more obsessive.jselson wrote:Facebook group still isn't full, so unless they're gonna use the WL more heavily this year, there have to be some admits tomorrow. FWIW 255 offers (LSN) + "less than 100 on the Waitlist"=355 people who won't get immediately denied to Yale (almost certainly less since there is some crossover in those groups). Nuts.

Right? Thats why I have to think tonight was spent figuring who gets WL and who gets in. But I know nothing of course.MannaMan wrote:How the fuck would they not have made ding decisions yet? You know what I mean?

Re: Yale c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 cycle)
I have to agree with this. I think today, since there were little or no admits, they were working through the tens which is why they either got dinged or WL. Now tomorrow I think they will sift through the remaining 11s and possibly 10s with some admits, WL, and dings. I myself have still not heard anything yet.wert3813 wrote:Yeah. You're assuming everyone updated today. Dings could definitely be done, except, of course, for mine.jselson wrote: Facebook group still isn't full, so unless they're gonna use the WL more heavily this year, there have to be some admits tomorrow. (Don't you love blind speculation?)

Honestly it doesn't really matter. Everyone will know this time tomorrow. Just one more day to wait. You've waited this long. One. More. Day.

W/L.
I figure my multiple LSAT played a significant factor.
ETA - Complete 3/4; W/L'ed 4/16 at 11:30pm

I know its Yale and we cut them slack because they're Yale but did anyone else find the "transfer" note at the end of the WL e-mail a little bit off color? Its not offensive or anything, just seems a bit strange considering the tone of the e-mail...
