I spoke to the admissions office today and the lady who answered the phone said it is mailed to current address unless you are in college and it will be over the holiday in which case they will mail it to your permanent address

how did you get in touch with the office? I thought they were closed for the holidays (at least that's the message I got when I called)cart wrote:I spoke to the admissions office today and the lady who answered the phone said it is mailed to current address unless you are in college and it will be over the holiday in which case they will mail it to your permanent address

Would someone who hasn't been formally accepted yet and who doesn't have ASW log-in information be a doll and try to generate their log-in info? I'm super curious as to whether or not it generates for every applicant or not. TYIA.

No. I had three updates to my status and I was able to generate a username and password but could not login. I tried calling to see if I could get any more information. She said she cannot tell me the decision over the phone but she can say that the decision is in the mail.cactuarX3 wrote:did you ask them anything about the ASW?

Very interesting. From what I gather, only acceptances go out in snail mail, while denials and waitlists are over email. I think she might have just given you a backdoor answer to your question.cart wrote:No. I had three updates to my status and I was able to generate a username and password but could not login. I was under that impression as well so I am cautiously optimistic at the moment... but do not want to get my hopes up just yet...cactuarX3 wrote:Very interesting. Re: Georgetown c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
My cousin went to GULC for law school. He told me he was NOT on the "preferred" waitlist, but the regular waitlist. From the conversation, I took that although his application was not the most stellar on the waitlist, the dean liked his sense of humor and went with it. So, I would guess that the "preferred" waitlist is better than the regular waitlist.Snake90 wrote:I just got placed on the preferred wait list via email. Is that something better than the regular waitlist? Or are they all the same? Can anyone guess my chances?
Thank you!

I received the e-mail about 11:40 EST (my internet was down all day so I couldn't check earlier). Luckily I just got a full ride to UConn so GULC can suck itpaul34 wrote:At what time did you receive the e-mail, if you don't mind me asking? Also, sorry to hear about your rejection. Have you gotten into those other "more selective" schools?? If os, unless you're really set on goting to CULC, what's your beef............ you're not going anyway, so they're not going thru the trouble of analyzing and generating an offer only to have you throw it in their faces.. However, if you're set GULC as your #1 choice, just send them a letter with a binding commitment to goto GULC if accepted, and I'm sure they'll let you in..butchcassidy wrote:I would think they're YPing? Did I do something wrong? on LSN everyones with my numbers is in. Maybe I'm uniquely unworthy? Any thoughts here? TIA

This has been discussed a LOT itt over the last few pages. Able to get username/pw = accepted, it does not generate them for every applicant. It takes hours to days for them to work.thelawschoolproject wrote:Would someone who hasn't been formally accepted yet and who doesn't have ASW log-in information be a doll and try to generate their log-in info? Just checking in. I received a third 'complete' on 12/20 and was able to generate a username/pw from ASW after that. Can't log in though yet. I also noticed on 12/20 the formatting of my address changed on the status checker (ie from '1st St.' to 'First Street'). Keeping my fingers crossed!
