Word, starry, looking at that thread makes me super relieved to be in the position that we are in.

It actually relaxes me a little bit about Harvard...I basically feel very que sera sera about my eventual ding.

Is getting the complete email without JR1 a bad sign? Do people get JR1s after it or mostly before?

That is how Harvard's status checker works. People who have high enough numbers etc usually submit, go UR, hear from JR, and then go Complete. It happens to everyone and has been well documented over and over in the last few months. Also- that e-mail is sent to everyone. Yes, he calls, but that e-mail is sent to everyone so don't worry about it. (Essentially, chill, you're fine.)

Edit: Also, the status checker will stay at review (not complete) and even if you don't get the JR1 before you go complete, you're fine. You're probably not an auto-admit, but neither is most everyone. People have gotten calls even months after.

^^ I wonder how many times I can quote this before it will get mad at me for having too many quotes inside quotes. NO ONE ask about complete vs. UR and I won't have to test this out. <3 Lzy

Since they basically could not work last 2 days, they all forgot what they were doing and currently busy watching a video called "Previously on "Saw - Harvard Version"". A summary of story so far.

Open Letter to All Lucky People:

If you are so lucky as to receive a JR1, please let us know. The worst that can happen is being stalked, having your phone number learned and subsequently e-mailed to thousands of telemarketers with preferred time for being called stated as your JR1 time. Yeah that's about it. Do not worry. Please share.

you're only allowed to send them by snail mail. Harvard doesn't accept any updates by email:

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept letters of recommendation, updates or additions to your application via email or fax. Please mail your materials to us via the postal service and be sure to include your name and LSAC number. If you would like to receive confirmation that we have received the information, please include a self-addressed, stamped postcard that we can return to you when your items arrive.

All transcript updates must be submitted via LSAC.

Our mailing address is below.

I actually enjoyed printing it out, signing it, walking down to the post office, and mailing it off. More real than PDFs and emails.

Haha YUP, you're the first person to openly recognize it. Hmm 1am on the East Coast means 7-9 hours until we know if there's anything beyond continued lethargy this weekend. Come on movement!

Technically it's a Serenity tar. Mal never wore those (ugly) suspenders on the TV show.

Does anyone know about how long it takes extra letters of recommendation to appear on your status checker? Mine was sent early this week and I was wondering when I should expect to see it appear.
