Yes please, I feel 1.2 times more stressed after that last poster.
Hopefully the extreme vetting will not be as stressful.

I vote witches. Drives me crazy that JKR ruined witches as a gender neutral term for magic user, just because she wanted a school of what in the end was "magic and magic."lawschool2017712 wrote:I motion we the shift the discussion back to tiffany, corn, or witches

That is likely due to the prevalence of Enlightenment-Victorian age witch iconography in modern media. That type of gendered imagery stemmed from a fear of women, which I am more than happy to talk about (took waaaay too many courses in college that let me basically analyze gothic horror literature and film because... magic and vampires, though), but I feel like may be kinda boring to most people on this thread.canafsa wrote:Is that true? ETA: Also wix is the coolest gender neutral term for a magic user. The plural is wixen.
EETA: Warlock was the "original" gendered term for a magic user, but it was for men, and was an insult. It was a Christian invention that stems from the Old English and Scottish word(s) for "traitor," mostly because of paganism.

Also, what page do we need to get to in order to unleash a wave of JS1s? Asking for a friend.
