Unless you want to practice environmental law on the west coast, then it is all about Lewis and Clark.urbanist11 wrote:Tempting but if you're leaning more toward environmental law might I suggest Vermont Law?lymenheimer wrote:Just got an email from Stetson. Terrible GPA, really likes Portland, wants to practice there and has connections there. Certainly odd, though.Generally wrote:I don't understand that school. A guy I saw on instagram got a 171 and ended up going there.. I wonder if he had a terrible GPA? Or is LC actually decent for certain things?Hildegard15 wrote:Unless you want to practice environmental law on the west coast, then it is all about Lewis and Clark.[/quoteThe Abyss wrote:urbanist11 wrote:Tempting but if you're leaning more toward environmental law might I suggest Vermont Law?lymenheimer wrote:Just got an email from Stetson. May have gotten a full ride and just needed a JD to solidify employment. The Abyss wrote:Terrible GPA, really likes Portland, wants to practice there and has connections there. Certainly odd, though.Generally wrote:

Yikes! Lewis and Clark's under-employment score is greater than its big firm, federal clerkship and public interest scores combined.

Maybe, but I imagine that students from L&C don't have much access to big law jobs.Hildegard15 wrote:they all want to do environmental law and animal. I'm definitely doing UVA and Harvard. UVA because I love it and can write a strong, unique essay and Harvard due to compelling WE.Hildegard15 wrote:For those of you only doing a few Why X essays, which schools did you pick to write them for and why? Was it just because you had more feels about the school, or are there certain schools that it's just better to write them for? I've heard Penn is a must, do schools below your numbers usually need a Why X to avoid being YP'd?

I'm doing them for Cornell, Northwestern, Michigan, Duke, Penn, UVA, and Berkeley. Everyone else knows why I would attend.doublehoohopeful wrote:I'm definitely doing UVA and Harvard. I don't think my numbers are high enough that any T-14s would YP me (the lower ones will probably know I'm aiming for $$). But, since they can't hurt, I'm writing them for everywhere I can actually see myself going!

I'm definitely writing why essays for: Michigan, Penn, UVA, and NU. May write one for Columbia, NYU and Georgetown.
