Does Yale ever send decisions (any type-admits, denials- I'm not picky at this point) without updating twitter first? Aka, is there still hope for tonight?

By pure numbers, chances are we have just a few trickles of admits and a lot of dings left.

But how about the "good news later in the week" part? Have we seen it?

Re: Yale c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
Maybe since there were a few admits this week, but I feel like there have to be a fair amount of decisions still coming. Even if they're dings, there are a lot of people still waiting and YLS twitter says that they're trying to get decisions out ASAP. Honestly, admissions is probably waiting for faculty to return files.bbkk wrote:wtrc wrote:Yeah, they have in the past for sure.kershka wrote:39 unless I'm one of the people that Scoobers counted but forgot the username of.

Also since they admitted some people earlier in the week, they're may have been fewer admit emails going out toward the end of the week.

The thing is, in the past they've said "barely worth mentioning but a few calls later" and then like 3 people here got calls.koalacity wrote:There was at least one admit yesterday (seethru).bbkk wrote:wtrc wrote:Yeah, they have in the past for sure.kershka wrote:39 unless I'm one of the people that Scoobers counted but forgot the username of.

The good news Tweet def. seemed to imply more than 1, but obviously our sample is not too reliable because there is some randomness as to who is on here. I would think, though, that the wave(s) Wednesday were what they were referring to. Are there any cases people can remember of YLS calling people on Friday evening/night?

I might be wrong here, but I thought Yale has called people on the weekends before? I clearly need to spend less time stalking previous SLS threads and more time stalking YLS oneswtrc wrote:The thing is, in the past they've said "barely worth mentioning but a few calls later" and then like 3 people here got calls.koalacity wrote:There was at least one admit yesterday (seethru).bbkk wrote:wtrc wrote:

Longtime lurker here...November complete and still waiting (39? 40?). From last year's cycle, I'm thinking it can only be WL at this point. Yale, I appreciate your desire for transparency, but it is really frustrating to know that one or two faculty members probably put me in a certain pile while another one or two sent me to this interminable wait.
