Isn't Chicago interviewing more candidates this year? If they can obtain some semblance of true interest in Hyde Park from the interview -- and thus, boost their yield -- they won't need to accept as many this year......As of last night, Chicago had 105 acceptances reported on LSN, compared with 187 by the end of last year's cycle (56%).
Last year, for example, they made offers to 837 applicants, and matriculated 191, for a 23% yield. If they can boost that yield to say 30% by interviewing, they would only need to accept 637 -- 200 fewer -- to fill their class.
