While I don't have "Harvard numbers," I thought I should chime in, since I was in the reserve group last year.

Yes, it's their name for the wait list. They may not rank candidates numerically, but they definitely do open it up for review later, because I also made the cut for the second reserve group and then the third reserve. But on the first day of classes (or maybe the day before?) I finally got an email that said they hadn't had any seats open up and they hoped I had found another opportunity for myself while I was waiting, best of luck in the future, etc. etc. I can't recall anyone here on TLS posting that they had gotten in off the list either.

Since CLS reviews in order of complete, maybe the WL emails just went to early applicants. Did any of the reserve group have a later complete date?

I was complete 10/27 and reserved today, if that's helpful.
