Wow...looks like a lot of wait lists...sorry guys. At least there is still hope. I feel like at least some people must get in off of the wait list...

Anyone know what UW's wait list has been like in the past?

Just got the small envelope. DR 3/11 Mailed 3/11. 162/3.59 UW undergrad.

I was under the impression that a school will show some love to its undergrads. There seems to be quite a lot of WLs makes you wonder what approach the school is taking in creating the class.

From what I have heard from admissions officers in the graduate programs at the University of Washington, they tend to deter from accepting their undergraduate students. They prefer individuals who went to different states for their undergrad, but are still Washington state residents.

BUT who really knows?

WL at BU...dinged at UCLA...this has not been a good week for me.

A nice, fat envelope from UW tomorrow will go a long way towards turning this ship around.

I was accepted but will most likely be withdrawing to attend Davis. Hopefully that will free up a spot for someone on the waitlist

Were you accepted recently from the 3/11 batch or earlier in the process - has ANYONE been accepted from the 3/11 batch or has it all been waitlists?

Yay. I was also admitted to Davis but I don't think I would plan on attending.

Anyone want to trade me a UW admit for a Davis admit? They are rank 23 now

Everyone is auto-accepted to UW and they personally send Mr. Le over to each one of our houses to commend us to our passion for UW Law as shown through millions of refreshes on this thread.

If you think about it, it kind of makes sense that you would actually have less of a chance if you are a UW undergrad. I mean, they only have an entering class of around 190 every year, and they don't want it to be stacked with UW undergrads. They - like every other law school - want to boast diversity within the student body, and I'm guessing that they probably get A LOT of UW undergrads applying every year. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the undergrad UW population is plenty diverse, just not diverse enough on paper for the law school to justify accepting more than, I don't know, thirty or so. I wouldn't be surprised if 5, maybe even 10 percent of all the applications they receive are just from UW undergrads.

Then again, I could just be talking out of my a**.

No you are right, and it does make sense. They might even be doing the undergrads a favor by giving them a chance to attend other good schools somewhere else instead of being at the same place for 7-8 years.

I just received news of my waitlist letter from home. I really believe I have a longshot to make it off the waitlist since I am a UW graduate and my numbers are average at best. I really can't say what got me on that waitlist but I'm grateful nonetheless.

Since I didn't get to read my letter (it was sent to my parents' home), does anyone know if we can send in an LOCI or was that forbidden in the letter?

I'm part of the IR 1/24, DR 3/11, DL 3/14 group.
