This. I have been wondering the same thing.Ambi-Turner wrote:Guys, Johann did tweet "Give The People What They Want"...has he done that on non-acceptances yet?
Looks like on 2/19 when he last tweeted it there was a mixed bag on LSN.

On hold!
That's not a decision!! Or it is a fancy way of saying waitlist.

Hold means they want more info. They'll give you the chance to make your case that they are your (or to a lesser extent one of your) top choice(s). As one poster wrote recently, NU likes to see applicants show a willingness to jump through their hoops.anna8506 wrote:On hold!

Posted this during the last big hold wave, but this is how the holds was explained to me before:
Accept: they want you
Hold: they think they want you, but they want to take a look at the applicant pool.
WL: they might want you, but there is for sure an entire class, that they will fill, whom they would rather have (unless YP)
Deny: they just plain don't want you
Sorry to everyone who didn't get in

Anyone from the first wave of holds willing to PM me with the list of essay topics? I'm very impatient, and want to start planning, haha. Thanks!
