Supposedly a 1/10 submit (174/3.9 ivy) received an interview invite on 3/11 (per the google doc on the first page)

Complete 2/1, went under review 3/17. Must be the luck of the Irish! Fingers crossed that the process will speed up a bit from here on out.

Yeah, numbers definitely matter. Chicago's cherry picking, so those with higher stats will have their apps reviewed first.

+1, except earlier submit and complete dates. Chicago probably knows I applied to nine other schools, though... so it's a YP. In my defense, at least I was honest on the application.

I had my interview earlier today. It went well, aside from a couple of minor things I would change. The questions were the usual and the expected (why law, why Chicago, greatest accomplishment, etc). PM me if you want more specifics, but I think all the questions asked have been posted here before. Good luck to everyone else!

I'm sitting at 1/11 here, and I've thought about calling.I think a call is justified since they publicize the fact that applications are reviewed in the order they're received and clearly they've deviated from this. At the same time, I worry that calling to inquire about it may put a sour taste in their mouths. Chicago is one of my top choices, so I'm obviously concerned at this point. I mean, I must go UR at some point right? Would they honestly reject people without even reading their full applications? Thoughts??

Right, and that just means that they are starting to cherry-pick applications based upon whatever number they need (LSAT or GPA).

So no, a call is not justified, IMO. If you have the number that they require, your app will bubble up. Otherwise, hold-city.

If Chicago were progressing at a reasonable pace, I'd expect this to be true (e.g. if you're still waiting at Mich, you're probably done), but I've had decently luck most everywhere else after submitting in early December, so I'm hoping that holds true for Chicago as well. Still, that's part anecdote and part speculation, so what I really ought to do is look at total admits right now vs total admits for all of last cycle, factoring in how many more (or fewer) people posted their numbers on LSN this year. Since I'm at work and probably shouldn't be doing that... Regulus? Or does that info already exist somewher?

As of last night, Chicago had 105 acceptances reported on LSN, compared with 187 by the end of last year's cycle (56%). (For comparison, NYU has 290, compared to 355 at the end of last year's cycle (81%). Columbia is closer to Chicago with 157/230 (68%), but Chicago is clearly a bit behind. Not as much as I would have thought, though.)
