HELP I'm actually freaking out because I went into first committee review on 1/23 and today I went under review on 1/26. Does that mean a waitlist decision is likely? I feel like everyone who has moved quickly through has been either waitlisted or rejected. Seriously freaking out lol HELP Penn is my top choice

With your numbers, I'm not sure I'd worry about it too much.jlc141 wrote:HELP I'm actually freaking out because I went into first committee review on 1/23 and today I went under review on 1/26. My URs were 5 days apart with a weekend in there and I got in. I think you'll be fine. Your numbers are perfect for Penn. Good luck!jlc141 wrote:HELP I'm actually freaking out because I went into first committee review on 1/23 and today I went under review on 1/26. Does that mean a waitlist decision is likely? Take a breath. Calm down. Things are going to be okay.jlc141 wrote:HELP I'm actually freaking out because I went into first committee review on 1/23 and today I went under review on 1/26. You'll get a decision when you get a decision. Freaking out is not going to make anything any more in your control.
Breathe and be ok.

I had my first UCR on 1/12 and nothing since. Did anyone who heard back last Friday (good or bad) have only one update morning of the decisions? Or am I stuck waiting at least one more week?

Think you're probably waiting at least another week.. I'm in the same boat, and i have yet to hear of anyone getting a decision without first getting a second UCR.danielhay11 wrote:I had my first UCR on 1/12 and nothing since. If you are non-URM, have a 169 LSAT, and want admission to UPenn, do you basically need either
A. GPA > 75%
B. Apply ED
?

GPA >3.8 and you're almost definitely in ED, probably need >3.9 for RD. Penn's really selective with GPA's for people below their LSAT median (170).UtilityMonster wrote:If you are non-URM, have a 169 LSAT, and want admission to UPenn, do you basically need either

Ehh... actually, I just looked on LSN and it seems like very few people who submitted in November have heard anything yet...georgeconstanza wrote:Same here. I don't know if any of us are going to be able to offer you much more than this: http://penn.lawschoolnumbers.com/stats/ ... Cycle=1112UtilityMonster wrote:If you are non-URM, have a 169 LSAT, and want admission to UPenn, do you basically need either

All I can try to add is that I think you've got to give adcomms something to work with. If you are sub-median LSAT, then >75th GPA certainly helps to do that. Similarly for certain exceptional soft factors or URM status. If I were an adcomm member, I would only take hits in one area for an applicant if they were compensated for in other areas.
