Also on reserve list. 171/3.52
FYI It says that all Reserve candidates get a new review in May.
They are reviewed "on a periodic basis" as spots open up.
It says it is not ranked like other waitlists.
The letter ended "Warm Regards" and it would have been not so nice if it was an outright ding.
Rec'd 1:21 CST.
It says also "By email only" on the letter.

Re: Columbia c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Also, I found the following on TLS:
http://www.top-law-schools.com/archives ... =7&t=67076
"If I am not mistaken (and it has been a while since I actually looked at Columbia's correspondence, so bear with me), the "reserve" pool at Columbia is just their name for their wait list. So anyone on "reserve" at Columbia is actually just wait listed. Strange, I know, but Columbia just likes to be weird I guess."
"Last night I read through an entire 26 page Columbia Reserve thread from the 07-08 cycle.
Unless you're dead-set on Columbia it's really not worth the stress in my opinion. From the subgroup of people on LSN and TLS about 7 people made it in and they pretty much all had 175+ 3.6+. A lot of people with better stats didn't make it either.
Things were better stats-wise during the 06-07 cycle, though 2 of the 6 people who made it through on LSN were URM's.
All I'm going to say is that you're in for a *long* summer on Reserve, and it's best to just get excited about where you're heading.
That said, who knows how this crazy year is going to turn out"

I also just got the reserve email... so for LSN, I should put this as a waitlist, right?

don't get your hopes up, reserve is a rejection at columbia. no one gets off the reserve unless you have harvard numbers.

haha, I feel the same way. I will be withdrawing though because I'll be at Michigan by the end of May so I can't sit around and wait.justicefishy wrote:Reserve at Columbia (was expecting a ding so this isn't bad!), 3.4, 170, 3 years WE

Reserve as well. 169/3.65. Was expecting an auto-ding so I'm happy.

Sorry I haven't been following this thread a lot. What is the general consensus as to what happens to people with decent numbers, but no VCE or Reserve so far.....
