I am getting the waitlist hammer HARD from these schools. Michigan, Virginia, Chicago, Duke...I thought my 170/3.85 would be good enough.

Still not rejected anywhere! But waitlists are irrelevant to me since I have no top choice. They feel like rejections.

+1 also with waitlists at Michigan, Virginia and Duke, but no rejections (yet?).

It's like a horror movie where the guy is slowly walking toward a dark and eerie place where you know the killer lies in wait. All of his friends went in there and never came back, but he HAS to know. Everyone in the audience is yelling at him to go back, to get out while he still has the chance, but he presses forward.
