Just said bye bye to Kent, John Marshall, Quinnipiac, and NYLS!
omg one day awhile ago I was approaching 1,500 unread emails. I then started to just search the names of the most offensive schools emailing me. It yielded WAY more results than I imagined. I deleted all of them and went on to the next school. It took me a day or two but I cleared all of my unread emails. I also did this for non-law related accounts that constantly emailed me.
I then downloaded a new app, just called mail, which allows you to view all of the listservs that you are enrolled in, and unsubscribe with a click (careful though it usually sends an unsubscribe email on your behalf to whatever is listed at the bottom of the email. Also make sure you don't unsubscribe from Columbia or somewhere lol). You have to do this I think after every LSAT or periodically because schools can re-add you. I just removed myself again off of 30 listervs this weekend. The app also allows you to easily delete emails with a swipe, so I make myself delete every spam law school email (and others) as they come in. I currently have 5 unread emails for all my accounts (and they are all dunkin donuts free drinks or whatever

).
Also, I've noticed that most spam is from certain accounts, there are very few schools that email you just once (like T14). The rest email you consistantly. Same for car dealers, etc. so if I notice a trend I try to manually unsubscribe when they email so I can lessen the flow.
I didn't intend to write this paragraph but I feel strongly about this.
