Waitlist. Super surprised I didn't get ding. I applied to GTown as a shot in the dark.
I'll take this as a moral victory.

Waitlisted as well.
Applied early January. Interviewed 2/15. Decision rendered today.
25%<LSAT<50% 75%<GPA
Did an optional video with my application that, based of YouTube's video analytic function, they didn't even watch (it was unlisted, and youtube allows you to see exactly where and when in the US the view comes from).
I don't understand.
On an aside, does anyone know the chances of accepted off of Georgetown's regular waitlist?

I don't even know if this warrants a full on LOCI. since it seems like no one else here (so far) has gotten the same email as me, does someone more knowledgable mind if I PM them?

Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Waitlisted. App was on hold until my Feb score came out. Real bummed
Email was pretty discouraging for the 'regular' waitlist, saying I should deposit elsewhere - may withdraw soon.

Preferred waitlist as well. Stats in profile. I will be withdrawing; best of luck to those still waiting!

I'm also special group within preferred wait list. I thought it might have to do with me being unable to make the group interview.proteinshake wrote:just got an email saying I'm "in a special group within the preferred waitlist" and that they cannot extend as many offers as they would like to because of "the large volume of qualified applicants." is this different from the preferred waitlist email people got back in December?

doubt it, I had an alum interview with numbers that gave me a great chance of getting in.bezmialem wrote:I'm also special group within preferred wait list. Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
So I am a bit confused about this three-tiered waitlist scenario. From what I can glean, there is a regular waitlist, a preferred waitlist, and a waitlist within the preferred waitlist. What exactly are the differences among the three? I was just placed on the second of the three from what I can tell. The text of the email reads,
"Applicants on the Preferred Waiting List are among those we would like to include in our first year class. These applicants have the strongest credentials of all waiting list candidates and, as a result, receive priority consideration if spaces become available. Offers of admission to waiting list candidates may be made up until registration day in August." It also states that "Applicants on the Preferred Waiting List are not ranked."
So if they tell us we have "the strongest credentials" of all waiting list candidates and that we're not ranked, then what, exactly, are the mechanics of the Inception waitlist? Is it a Georgetown hedging-its-bet scenario, anticipating that preferred waitlisters will get in to a higher-ranked school and be unlikely to attend Georgetown if they get in?

Waitlisted as well.
Above both 75ths and had an alumni interview about a week and a half ago that I thought went decent. Based on what others are saying, it looks like YP for a lot of people.

Applied 1/10. Absolute radio silence since then and this wave of waitlists isn't exactly comforting.tezzeret wrote:is there anybody who applied in early January who has not heard anything at all? (no interview/email/etc..)

Well at this point it looks like today is strictly WL's, so if you don't even get a WL, more than likely we are looking at dings.pandapops wrote:Applied 1/10. Curious, any part-time only applicants on the preferred waitlist? If so, anyone have any insight into how the process may or may not be different from the full-time preferred waitlist? Is there also a special cool-kid preferred waitlist for part-time?
Thanks in advance!

Yeah that's what I was afraid of...I was hoping to at least get an interview but it's looking like that's not going to happen at this point.tezzeret wrote:Well at this point it looks like today is strictly WL's, so if you don't even get a WL, more than likely we are looking at dings.pandapops wrote:Applied 1/10. Pretty much since I assume they must be hitting critical mass with the admits by now.pandapops wrote:Yeah that's what I was afraid of...I was hoping to at least get an interview but it's looking like that's not going to happen at this point.tezzeret wrote:Well at this point it looks like today is strictly WL's, so if you don't even get a WL, more than likely we are looking at dings.pandapops wrote:Applied 1/10. Based on the MyLSN chart, they do still give out acceptances in March and April. It is just very waitlist/rejection heavy.Navyhornguy wrote:Well I'm still holding out hope because my alumni interview hasn't happened yet.proteinshake wrote:look like anyone after this point should expect a waitlist/ding.
