i was also finally able to generate a username and pw. anyone here not get in after receiving the username/pw e-mail?

when was your last status update? also, is there any consensus on what it means for the mailing address to have changed from temporary to permanent?

how do you know if your address is permanent or temporary on the status checker? i don't seem to have that indicated anywhere

initially, my listed address was my temporary address (my address at school). but today my status date changed, as well as my address from the prior temporary address to the address submitted as permanent (my home address). i don't think there's any explicit mention of temporary to permanent, but you'd notice a switch in the actual address provided on the status checker page.

why do you think you're a WL if you were able to generate a username/pw?

the asw worked for me 3 days after.

For those of you worried about not having access to the ASW. I just got an email from Andy at Gtown confirming my acceptance (which is kind of relieving considering that i still haven't seen the letter as I haven't been home this year yet) and letting us know that the ASW is fully live or should be. I'm 99% certain if you can generate a password/username your in, but I think they delay access a bit so that they don't have a mass UMICH situation on their hand. I didn't try before I got in, but I doubt if they update you today you'll be able to generate it until the next business day (knowing it guys, it's more efficient queue things up and release them all at once then update the site throughout the day, so they likely wait until everyone's out of the office. Could be wrong though)

i think they email you so it shouldn't be a problem

also, i SERIOUSLY hope it there's no chance of a WL from being able to generate a user name/password; i can't think of how that would make any sense

My status just updated today after an interview last week. Would be wonderfful to have a GULC acceptance before xmas..

I've been stuck on 10/11, which doesn't seem to be a good sign based on the precedent set in this thread. I'm holding out hope, but the wait is killing me.

Try generating a user name/password off the ASW. I was just able to and my status has not changed to "decision finalized" or anything like that.
