Re: Stanford c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
So ALMOST everyone admitted today (with one exception, I believe?) was an URM, and we have seen a few September completes go DLS... it looks like the soft hold trickle is going to progress now, for better or worse.
Congrats all!
Congrats all!

DLS. Womp womp.
(Submitted end of October.)
I do love how Stanford seems to have released decisions for all almost soft holds all in one day. Congrats to everyone who's in!

Depressingly, the "pending" list on LSN still goes on for miles. Hope we get word soon

If Stanford calls and no one picks up, do they usually leave a message or send an email?

From the posts earlier in the acceptance season, it seems like they'll send an email that day/night.lilhmoney wrote:If Stanford calls and no one picks up, do they usually leave a message or send an email?

People who are accepted, what does your status checker say?

Re: Stanford c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Hm, just to give myself some potential false hope, I looked through last year's thread and it seems like most of the initial waitlists were sent by postal mail, not email (except for the people who had contacted SLS about upcoming deadlines). Didn't someone earlier in this thread say waitlists were always by email? Maybe Zelda got hers via email, but she had an exploding scholarship...
So DLS might not necessarily be automatic reject, though that's probably still more likely.

Someone mentioned a page or two ago that last year URM decisions came out for a few days in a row so I wouldn't lose all hope.jd20122015 wrote:so what's the consensus for urms in the soft hold pile still waiting? reject/waitlistville? 10/28....

Still in soft hold territory. Congrats to the new admits and condolences to those who received DLSes.

Sorry to repeat this but what does everyone who's been accepteds' status checkers say? I've been on a plane all day and am a little freaked out.

Wow, landslide of movement today after so much silence. Congrats to all the admits. Still nothing here, UR since 10/10

I'm on the 5th book. It's a diversion seemingly without end. In a good way.Mal Reynolds wrote:If we haven't heard from Stanford Im glad we still have GoT.ned wrote:And our numbers will dwindle. Should I read GoT before watching the TV series? Was planning on doing both eventually.ned wrote: I'm on the 5th book. It's a diversion seemingly without end. In a good way.
