Wow. Cornell is even taking longer this cycle than last cycle. According to LSN people who sent around my sent date went complete at around 2/7. I guess I won't go complete for another good 2-3 weeks.canes wrote:12/03FiveSermon wrote:Could you tell us when you sent it? I keep checking the status checker.....my app has been in review for weeks now. the most recent dates are 2/3----->2/7. Are they handing out many decisions today?

Sent mine 12/15 and still not complete, either. Yay for movement!

Excellent. This gives me hope I'll be complete this or next week. They received my app 12/07.subtle wrote: I'm complete as of 2/2 and I sent mine 11/26.

I saw those dings.......hopefully they start handing out acceptances (or at least WL) soon.maglialoro wrote:DeeCee wrote:DeeCee wrote:I keep checking the status checker.....my app has been in review for weeks now. the most recent dates are 2/3----->2/7. Are they handing out many decisions today?
I have not heard of anyone actually being accepted to Cornell in quite some time. It seems that they have handed out some dings last week and this week.

I hope they do some positives in the next week. C'mon Cornell! Will probably wait until March though =(maglialoro wrote:DeeCee wrote:DeeCee wrote:I keep checking the status checker.....my app has been in review for weeks now. the most recent dates are 2/3----->2/7. Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
So, how long do people typically stay under review before a decision is given, and has there been a standard number of "review" updates. I applied 11/15, processing at 11/22 and again on 1/5 or 1/7, went complete around 1/22 and have now been in review since 1/25. Anyone else had similar updates? Despite their slow process, Cornell is still one of my top choices, although they're slowly driving me crazy. Thanks for any replies, and I'll post updates when I hear anything.

they do seem to do just about everything slowly, so that would make sense.bigwillie wrote:So, how long do people typically stay under review before a decision is given, and has there been a standard number of "review" updates. Seems like I missed the waitlist/ding wave today. Though, I'm still terrified that my status checker changed to 2/7....Hephaestus be damned.

How are applicants notified of acceptance? When?
E-mail? Weekday mornings/afternoons?

E-mail. The only acceptance wave I've seen on here was all during the late afternoon (from 3-5pm EST I think).

Could be worse. I applied 11/23, processing all over the place, completed on 1/26, and I haven't heard a peep since.
And I think I was one of the last 11/23 folks to go complete.
Bah.

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
applied on 11/11 and thought I'd be considered EA since that is what the office inferred (they'd try (so no hard feelings there) to get to everyone if you submitted before 11/15) and still just complete, no UR. Pretty pretty please let me in.

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
Just noticed my second review date (2/7). First review date was 1/21; they received it 11/23 and updated the processing date on 1/5. Thought this might be of interest to someone.
