I am hopeful for later in the week into next week. Since the deadline is tomorrow. So after they sort through all the new application and realize us holds are better candidates, they will invite nearly all of us.bleedblue wrote:Anybody feeling a tremendously large batch of TLS JR1s today FTW? Held last Friday, sent my LOCI today. Another period of agonizing uncertainty starts! Yay!

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
Would anyone be willing to PM me their LOCI for Harvard (or, at least a couple-sentence summary of what you wrote)?
I don't know what I can do in return -- I guess I can edit it or something, if you haven't sent it out yet. I got put on hold recently, and I want to write one, but I just have no idea where to start.

Yeah, an LOCI to Harvard is kinda... well, it's Harvard.
It's one thing for the wait list if you want to tell them you haven't put money down anywhere, or something like that. But I don't understand this hold business at all tbh.

I talked about how Harvard really does offer me an experience that I wouldn't get anywhere else because of the professors in my field.

The hold is just a status update. No more no less. It's just them saying, "hey, you're not good enough to get in right away, but we still don't know what the fuck we want to do with your file."ahduth wrote:"Unlike so many others, I really did apply to Harvard with the intention of matriculating..."WhatSarahSaid wrote:Would anyone be willing to PM me their LOCI for Harvard (or, at least a couple-sentence summary of what you wrote)?

I don't think it really matters what you talk about. It shows that you are interested and that you are taking the initiative to do what is in your power to get in. It's not a bad thing, but as I've said all along, it seems kind of ridiculous.r6_philly wrote:I talked about how Harvard really does offer me an experience that I wouldn't get anywhere else because of the professors in my field.

Well personally I would have submitted more materials from the beginning but that's a bit uncalled for. So now they ask for more materials so I get to send in the extra.
I talked about my fall grades from grad school too. In the info session they told me they want to see what I am taking, and now I have grades.

You keep promising people in different threads that you will be their classmate. Way to play the field.r6_philly wrote:You will love my eternal optimism in school.cardinals1989 wrote:r6_philly wrote:I am hopeful for later in the week into next week. Perhaps the forgotten have more reason for an LOCI than the holds...starrydreamz3 wrote:I for one am super excited about the deadline passing soon. Maybe I will not longer be Forgotten!!!

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
Considering the fact that the the forgotten pile has some really high numbers I think you're all on the border of getting JR1s and they just wanted to make sure after they have all the applicants. I still think you're all probably in a better place than the hold pile.ahduth wrote:Perhaps the forgotten have more reason for an LOCI than the holds...starrydreamz3 wrote:I for one am super excited about the deadline passing soon. They already have higher numbers, they don't need any cheering up.law_monkey wrote:
