Yeah, an LOCI to Harvard is kinda... well, it's Harvard.
It's one thing for the wait list if you want to tell them you haven't put money down anywhere, or something like that. But I don't understand this hold business at all tbh.
I don't think it really matters what you talk about. It shows that you are interested and that you are taking the initiative to do what is in your power to get in. Considering the fact that the the forgotten pile has some really high numbers I think you're all on the border of getting JR1s and they just wanted to make sure after they have all the applicants.
