+1... I think there is a 2nd deposit in June or July but I am too lazy to look it up, but maybe that's when it's "Final".

UM and FSU are still good options for Florida; two of my friends decided to attend UM over UF (they were offered scholarship, and have a strong desire to work in Miami)

Maybe/hopefully a mixed batch...just thought the person who had a 165 3.5+ gpa was a sign of acceptances....so weird

I think it's gotta be a mixed batch. Good luck guys. And yeah, I'm waiting to hear from FSU. If I don't get in there then I'm really torn between Penn State and UM. So many life decisions.

I imagine that they will be rolling out with acceptances, and rejections, with each batch of letters from now on.

The initial deadline has passed, thus giving them their primary pool of applicants. Statistics probably show a very small amount of qualified applications come in after this time. Perhaps this allows them to know what they are working with, and gives them a basis to form the entering class that they want based on that.

Add to that the fact that there will be many more rejections than acceptances, it seems logical to conclude that a small amount of acceptances will accompany larger amounts of rejections in each batch of letters.

If you didn't get a letter today, take a breath and let's all do some Yoga or something to de-stress, lol! Ask yourself, on what basis do you establish that each batch of letters has to be a set of rejections versus a set of acceptances, and not a mixture?

My only hope is that since it appears that only the lower numbers got their letters today maybe it took them a day longer to compile acceptance packets, while with the rejections they could print them all out and immediately send them. Me being in Gainesville would usually mean that if some got letters today I should have as well if not earlier.

Didn't you get an email confirming that they received your payment? Also, someone asked about an orientation fee. There is that fee later on for the ILSP which I suppose counts as an orientation fee.

I did get an email confirming my seat deposit which is why I'm wondering what a final confirmation entails since apparently paying your deposit isn't considered a final confirmation. Yeah the ILSP fee = orientation fee.

REJECTIONS?! No, no, no. We are all supposed to be acceptances! There has to be some kind of mistake...

Yeah by 2nd deposit I meant orientation fee, for some reason I think it's confirmed after that but I can't remember who I heard that from.

Your numbers certainly can't be a flat out rejections. Did anyone with a 160+ get rejected today?

maybe there were actually two batches on 3/17... my status didn't change to letter issued until late afternoon that day, and I'm one of the ones who didn't get a letter today...

p.s. Lili305- you're basically my numbers twin. hopefully we're acceptances!
