Re: UVA c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
From FB just in case:
Dear Class of 2020,
Financial Aid award packages are being posted on our Student Information System (SIS) as I type this message. Emails will be sent to your UVA email address, if you have been assigned one, else to your alternate (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) email account.
If you have been awarded a scholarship, it should be on SIS at this time. If you do not see a scholarship listed, it means that you have not been awarded one.
Letters of scholarship appeal may be directed to the Scholarship Committee, and sent via lawadmit (AT) virginia.edu.
If you have questions, we are here to help! You may call us in the Financial Aid Office at 434-924-7805, or email us at lawfinaid (AT) virginia.edu.
Warm regards,
Jennifer & the Financial Aid Team

Two questions:
1) How do we get our UVA email?
2) Is it possible to get a mailbox at the law school next year if our address will be in flux?

The poll needs a "hell no" option in light of today's developments

Yeah, just wasn't sure if I was supposed to be seeing something generic regarding loans. Like a blank loan category or somethingbloomsday wrote:Didn't you just say you hadn't submitted your fafsa? you're only getting federal loans after you do that.addie1412 wrote:Anyone else seeing no financial aid info whatsoever, loans or otherwise?

Does anyone know if people with $0 merit aid are still allowed to send letters of scholarship appeal?

I kind of want to submit my withdrawal immediately, just so they know exactly what it is a result of (them being stingy fools).

I guess no financial aid from UVA. I'm pretty surprised, all things considered. I hope I didn't screw something up. I was accepted back in October with good numbers, and I thought I saw people getting close to full ride with my numbers on LSN. Any idea what gives?

Hi all, so it appears I didn't get any scholarship money, but I also didn't receive an email like we were supposed to. Do you think not getting the email means my SIS hasn't been updated yet?

I mean let's be real. You got into S and have had a ridiculous cycle so far. Your numbers definitely don't guarantee money from UVA (we have exactly the same, but I'm .01 GPA lower) given that less than half the class gets any aid. Even if they had offered you something, it would have been in the 50k range, and clearly with that offering, S is a superior choice.katthegreat11 wrote:I kind of want to submit my withdrawal immediately, just so they know exactly what it is a result of (them being stingy fools).

I'm drafting an email at the momentkatthegreat11 wrote:I kind of want to submit my withdrawal immediately

I mean better to withdraw earlier rather than later... could free up some spots from the WL.

That's exactly how I feel, there's no chance, and no negotiating leverage, so might as well give my spot to someone willing to pay sticker.Leliana wrote:I'm drafting an email at the momentkatthegreat11 wrote:I kind of want to submit my withdrawal immediately
