Haha but really. I'm relaxed now. I think I was nervous at first because I hadn't gotten into any of my top choices and finals were coming up, but I've gotten into NYU and I'm done with exams, so now I'm not stressed about too much. I still really want a JS2 of course but the wait for the next round of calls isn't bothering me anymore.

I agree that getting NYU has definitely taken some of the edge off. Knowing you will be in a T6 at the very least is certainly something to be happy about.

I also need to keep reminding myself that based on my numbers I was around a 10% chance of getting HLS based on myLSN. So the fact I got a JS1 is just icing on the cake and way more than I ever expected.

Does the status date change between your JS1 and JS2?

Didn't want to touch this thread, but should I be freaking out about the fact that I haven't received a JS1? I went complete in late October. Numbers are competitive/borderline for Harvard.

I think the short of it is: don't ever freak out about things like this.

Allow me to rephrase.

At this point, could the JS1 non-offer be taken as an indication of dwindling admissions chances?

I won't fret too much, however, because I have had an otherwise nice cycle. 'Serenity now,' as my pal George says.

I got my JS1 about a week after a few people with my complete date got their JS1. The 2 people who reported JS1s the day that I got mine went complete 10 days after me and got their JS1s earlier in the day than me. I don't think the timing matters.

The "NOWandLATER" taffy brand really ought to release "serenity" and "insanity" as flavors. I'd buy that gunk.

It's gotta be Monday. The post- JS1 crew is getting big and Monday would be in-line with the last three cycles.

Monday.

I wonder what will be the latest date of JS1's they'll go to. Does anyone know the shortest turnaround time we have seen in past cycles?

The shortest I can recall is 3 days, but that person had a 3.92/180.
