Received my financial aid letter in the mail today. I just submitted the last documents a week ago so I'm surprised by the quick turnaround time.

Just recognized a minor typo in my LOCI.
Did I just ruin my chances?

Accepted yesterday via e-mail! UR2 3/5. LSAT 25th, GPA >75th. Probably going to withdraw, but it was great to get the offer.
Best of luck to all those waiting and congrats to the recent admits!

Sitting at 2/24 Complete. Cornell really takes their time, huh? I've had movement on all of my other applications.

Re: Cornell c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
Does anyone know how many people Cornell usually admits off the wait list, or just any info about the WL at Cornell in general? I'm trying to figure out planning my next steps for this spring/summer and would really like to know if I should keep Cornell in the back of my mind or just move on.
Stats are 3.6/166, complete in early November, WL'ed in early Feb.

"During the past three cycles, 40 applicants on LSN below that cycle’s LSAT median and below that cycle’s GPA median were straight admits while 78 were waitlisted. Of those waitlisted applicants, 20 withdrew from the waitlist and 1 were eventually admitted (1.7% staying on waitlist were admitted)."bostonbrewer wrote:Does anyone know how many people Cornell usually admits off the wait list, or just any info about the WL at Cornell in general? Hopefully I receive some financial aid data soon. Cornell was such a wonderful place to visit. I've followed LSN and some people have been receiving good merit non-dean scholarships.

I interviewed w a 2L on friday. I've been offered a lot of money at another school but I have to give them a decision by the end of this week or else they will give the money to someone else.
does anyone know how long cornell usually takes after an interview to give a response?? I would like to know if I got in or not before accepting this money.

Going to go ahead and guess that this is WUSTL.kalyssa wrote:I interviewed w a 2L on friday. I've been offered a lot of money at another school but I have to give them a decision by the end of this week or else they will give the money to someone else.

Cornell usually takes about a week. Hard to say whether they'll give a decision by Friday.
You may want to tell admissions at one or both schools about your dilemma and see if WUSTL extends the deadline or Cornell gives you a decision faster.
Or you can tell WUSTL you accept their offer and that you'll withdraw from all other schools at which you've been accepted, but also state that you're still waiting to hear back from other schools. As per LSAC guidelines, you're not obligated to withdraw from schools you haven't heard from yet. So as long as the Cornell offer comes later, you can withdraw from WUSTL without doing anything wrong.

Re: Cornell c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can have multiple first deposits. It's the 2nd one in May that you HAVE to start withdrawing from schools.kalyssa wrote:I interviewed w a 2L on friday. FWIW, the first WUSTL deposit is refundable if you tell them in writing before May 1 that you won't be attending.Lavitz wrote:Going to go ahead and guess that this is WUSTL.kalyssa wrote:I interviewed w a 2L on friday.
