Yeah, I really hope it is just a temporary server change problem and not inherent to the new design. Very annoying.venus wrote:Agreed. It takes foreveraz21833 wrote:this new lsn design is awful. its not even functional, i cant sit here for 5 mins everytime i want to check something

I'm afraid it might be the design because it used to look simpler before. I really hope I'm wrong...carboncopyx wrote:Yeah, I really hope it is just a temporary server change problem and not inherent to the new design. Very annoying.venus wrote:Agreed. Funny, I have over 4000 too. Was about to check your profile to see who has more, but then realized that would take about 10 minuteshelix23 wrote:They saved my # of profile views, thank god! i am very competitive with that shit (I have over 4000)

Maybe I should apply to more schools to get more views. I hear UVA's deadline hasn't passed yet.helix23 wrote:once LSN starts working again, the race is on bruh. first to 5000 wins it all.
Who needs video games when you have LSN?

Re: Columbia c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
So guys: my school is incompetent with handling snail mail. For example, my friend sent me a postcard from across the Atlantic on August 15th. She sent it along with a bunch of others to other friends located in the same city as me. They all received theirs by September 1st. I received mine October 30th.
I often have mail in my mailbox that's postmarked months previous to my receipt date. I was accepted by NYU in mid-Jan and still haven't received their decision letter. I've already complained to my school about this but they don't really do anything about it. "We go as fast as we can! All our mail staff are doing it as a minor part of their job."
So given Columbia's snail-mail tendencies, this is horrible. Anything I can do, you reckon? Will they email me rather than mail me since I'm in Canada, maybe?

I've been on TLS a long while... had another TLS account but wanted relative anonymity for the cycle. But yeah.

Re: Columbia c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I think I have a similar problem. I just received my Admitted Student Handbook via priority mail a couple of days ago (no postmark), but I still haven't received my NCE. Earlier, I also got an email about "Admitted Student Programs" that I posted about earlier in this thread. Chances are, you will get that or a similar email within a few days of your acceptance. But if you're really worried, I don't think there's any harm in calling the admissions office and asking if they can email you your decision because you are an international student, etc. Or maybe you can provide an alternate mailing address, like your permanent (parents') address? The worst they can do is say "No," right?bbsg wrote:So guys: my school is incompetent with handling snail mail. For example, my friend sent me a postcard from across the Atlantic on August 15th. By the way, if your school is that slow about sorting mail, that's really bad. Time-sensitive stuff comes through the mail all the time. I'd be freaking out.

Re: Columbia c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I had a dream that I got a big envelope from Columbia in the mail. Which would be great except it was filled with my application cut up into little pieces with child like handwriting declaring my personal statement "WRONG" It's gonna be a long couple of months.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
