I don't think anyone has mentioned this, but I just saw this on the WUSTL admissions blog...
We hope to have all decisions sent out by the end of March to those whose applications were completed by March 1.
http://law.wustl.edu/admissions/blog/

I hope they have enough "hope" to get those decisions finally out by the end of next week.

Has anyone not yet figured out that "hope" doesn't get anything accomplished?

We don't know what the disappearing text means. But I would bet it means you're doomed, that's the most agreed upon explanation.

About the doomed part? No.

But there is a group of us that have had the text at the top disappear, and we've heard nothing since the text went away.

Doooooooooomed!

Sorry, I'm responsible for most of the fear mongering around here. I honestly don't know what it means. In my case, I assume its a death sentence. You, with your 4.0 and Vandy acceptance, makes the outcome seem less than uniform.

Oh yeah, I didn't look at your (Flips88) stats, and your disappearing text does throw a wrench in the "you're doomed if the text disappears" theory.

I'm a Strong Consider (75%) on LSP, though obviously LSP can't take into account crazy 168 LSAT walls and such.

lsn looks like if you're above a 167/3.8 non-urm you're in. otherwise prolly a WL if youre in the ballpark, then when all the people they accept who don't want to go to a relative-to-their stats toilet withdrawal they're offer acceptances to applicants with numbers that match the school. Same goes for Illinois.

How much $ would it take to pull you out of Vandy?

I got $15k/yr from Vandy. I've never visited Nashville, but will do so in 2 weeks. I'm also currently on 7 T-14 wait lists and expecting to be on 2 more in the next couple weeks. So it's looking like I could put a deposit down at Vandy and ride out all these wait lists. (ETA: really hoping for GULC or Penn)

WUSTL is not helping their case by taking up until almost April to get me a decision.

I'd probably take the 45k from Vandy over the 75k you'd prob get from WUSTL if you get in.

165. I would murder a stranger for the 2 or 3 more points that have kept me out.

also IBRetake.

idk what IB stands for. I think the 45k to Vandy is a great deal for you. I'd prob trade my 75k to WUSTL for that.

IB=In before as in IBTL (In before the lock) or IBTB (In before the ban)

+1 (kind of) I submitted in early December. Is it possible they think I'm applying for 2012??

Withdrawing if I'm not in by the end of the day tomorrow. Have to start making plans and it's starting to reach the point where it's becoming too late.

I can't withdraw. I NEED to see how this turns out. Unless they admit me late and with more money than I deserve, they will probs not be an option... but I just can't withdraw and leave the story of WUSTL and I unfinished.

Why withdraw?? I already made my plans. I'm just curious to see what happens here.

I'm on a bunch of wait lists i don't plan on actively pursuing. Not doing anything can't hurt.

Plus, if accepted, their first deposit is refundable. So that's a win.

(Reposted)

I am extremely high on WUSTL after the ASW. Coming from a public school, the campus is comparatively immaculate. Romo has posted about how he considers the WUSTL campus just as beautiful if not moreso than Michigan, and I definitely see where he's coming from. It was snowing when we walked in, and the snow mixed with the blossomed trees and all the matching, fantastic buildings all were pretty fantastic. To be honest, I went to an undergrad that's constantly listed as having one of the most beautiful campuses, and didn't expect it to match. It did, but in the same way the best hamburger matches against the best pizza if you know what I mean.

St. Louis. I'm coming from California, and have lived in the Bay Area my whole life. I'll get more into the differences between the two for anyone that PMs me, but I must say I've loved St. Louis from the two days I've spent here. The bars that I went to are more interesting than the ones I know in the Bay Area and the place I currently live (if you've stalked me, you know where). It feels like the kind of place I'd like to live, or at least a good transition from living in the boring Bay Area suburbs my whole life to living in a big city. Central West End is a great neighborhood, and feels a bit like the nicer parts of Oakland (that's a good thing). The Loop is great too but not what I'm looking for at the moment. I'll definitely check it out later.

WUSTL the school: It's really impressive. They were definitely a little...optimistic about where they stand in regards to top schools in the country, but it's easy to see how you can lose objectivity when you have TVs in the walls outside classrooms telling you what's scheduled there, all the buildings are wired, spare no expense, fantastic faculty, etc. I would imagine it's pretty annoying when you're putting all this effort in to attract firms and students and professors, when Harvard doesn't give a shit and just attracts all that because they're named Harvard.

I'm at 80% right now.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
