Apply!yazoz wrote:Hello everyone,
I am an international applicant. Do you think I would have a chance of getting in if I apply now (on the last day of the deadline) ?
LSAT 167 and GPA 3.65
Did not consider applying before, but now I think I could have applied to more schools.

I'm LSAT 168 and GPA 3.5X and I heard back with a direct admission offer, no interview request. Postmark was 3 weeks after I submitted, but I also submitted in November.hopefuljumbo23 wrote:These are my stats. I applied nearly two months ago. Nothing on my end so far.yazoz wrote:Hello everyone,

It was a group interview in New York last Monday, conducted by the dean himself, so no, not an alumni interview. PS, I love your avatar lol.proteinshake wrote:congrats! when did you interview / was it an alum interview?dooritos23 wrote:Hey all, just reporting that I got an acceptance at GULC today. I interviewed on Presidents day (so 2 weeks ago?) and I just generated an accepted students login which I think means I'm in? Although I haven't successfully logged into the site so not sure what that implies, my last name did generate the login/ password

Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
My application has been completed since 1/24. I have around their average scores for both but haven't been asked to interview. Anyone know how they select people to interview??

Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Georgetown doesn't officially say much as to who and how they choose to interview (though they do say it's to get to know applicants they wish to take a closer look at). With that said, the general consensus seems to be, that one will be granted an interview if they are one or more of the following:pgordon528 wrote:My application has been completed since 1/24. Its not looking good!
1) Someone has great scores. So good in fact, that Georgetown would consider YP them. But before they decide to do that, they interview the person to gauge their interest in the school, and as to whether they will actually go if extended an acceptance.
2) Borderline (stats) students are granted interviews as well. This is done so that the university can learn that one last piece about an applicant they are having trouble deciding on, in order to make a decision.
3) Geographical location: Sometimes, interviews are just granted based on convenience. If you live near an alumnus, or if the Dean of Admissions will be group interviewing in your area, they might extend you an interview just because you're "in the area." However, it must be stated that this being the sole reason for receiving an interview seems unlikely.

So being that I'm going on two months with no response since complete is it safe to assume game over?

No, not necessarily. Here's info I pooled from mylsn.info for students who applied in January, and heard back in March. This data was taken from 2013-2015:tezzeret wrote:So being that I'm going on two months with no response since complete is it safe to assume game over?
Acceptances: 21
Waitlists: 50
Denies: 32
This data doesn't necessarily take into account people who interviewed versus people who didn't (that has to be self reported), but I will say this:
Stats of the 3 most recent accepts from those who applied in January and heard back in March: 1.(168/3.19) 2.(164/4.06) 3.(168/3.7)
Stats of the 3 most recent waitlists from those who applied in January and heard back in March: 1.(168/3.85) 2.(158/3.80) 3.(164/3.57)
Stats of the 3 most recent denies from those who applied in January and heard back in March: 1. (157/3.6) 2.(150/3.33) 3.(157/3.5)
My personal conclusion: They seem to be friendlier to January applicants with an answer in March who are near, at, or above their 75% in some fashion, whether it be LSAT or GPA.
I hope this helps!
