I didn't apply to Yale either despite solid odds with my numbers+resume, and I know from PMs that at least one other frequent poster here with Yale numbers didn't either. Yale over Harvard is extremely overrated unless you have very specific goals (I'm always itching for that debate to take off lol), and I have no interest in spending 3 years in New Fucking Haven.

That said, had I not been accepted to Harvard in the first wave, I definitely would have sent in a Yale app just in case.
Well now I'll know exactly who to blame when HLS dings me. :P
Nice try Hilde - we're forming a study group together.

Your constant optimism about my chances is gonna make it so the adcoms strike me down on principle both to prove their capricious nature and to punish me for hubris.

Also, I saw your attempts to undermine me in the c/o 2019 thread :P you'll need to atone for that before we can make a study group.

I might be the "other frequent poster" to whom Cantorb refers. At any rate, I did not apply to Yale. (Or at least, I haven't yet...)

I asked an online magic 8 ball and it replied "most likely," so I'm pretty much certain that we will all be getting JS2s tomorrow.

I really hope we can ask for them to put all the TLS waiters in the same 1L section!

You still deserve to go to Harvard.
If you scroll down on the Board Index you'll find "TLS Class of 2019 Forums", it's in there.

Maybe I wouldn't have to consider other schools if I'd ACTUALLY BEEN ACCEPTED to Harvard. But you can't blame a woman for being practical.

You're above the LSAT median and you got a JS1, what's that saying about a half full glass?

One must always keep the following in mind when facing the law school admissions process:

The HLS adcoms giveth, and the HLS adcoms taketh away.

The HLS adcoms giveth, and the HLS adcoms taketh away.
"Drunk came I into this admissions cycle from college, and drunk shall I depart.

"JS giveth, and JS taketh away. She admits and she denies, but my soul shall sing tax-exempt be the name of Harvard."

In all this, Hildegard did not sin by taking Harvard for granted.

reporting JS1 offer - just got the email like 2 minutes ago. My interview is scheduled for Feb. 17 - is this too late? I could schedule it for the 11th, and I was wondering if there was any advantage of interviewing early since it is now pretty late in the cycle. Btw I have a <25 percentile LSAT for Harvard, so I am by no means an easy admit.

Oh no, you've risen hope a JS1 is in my near future. That's a sure sign I'm being dinged.

Keep your hopes up! I really have no chances at Harvard according to my stats, and they were interested in me enough to Skype for 15 minutes lol. Best of luck!

I would schedule it for as early as possible, though I have no concrete reasoning for this.
