Thank you so much for the reply! Was the conversation helpful? Do you think it made a difference to your application? Do you have to schedule ahead of time?Anna.M wrote:Visited last week, you can sit a class or talk to a admission officer on Tuesday afternoon.periwinkley wrote:I'm visiting NYC over spring break and I've been stuck on UR1 for nearly a month now. I saw on the website you can visit the office of admissions, but that it's not going to affect your application. Is there anything I can do while I'm there besides visit campus and maybe sit in on a class?

In past cycles it's been suggested that around 60 get interviews to fill ~20 spots, though this is secondhand information and obviously could be subject to change.wellreallynow wrote:anyone know how many people get offered RTK interviews vs. how many end up getting the scholarship?

I think last year the calls were spread over a couple of weeks so I'm staying hopeful...

I wish I could just get the 'lol no' email now so I could go ahead and firm up travel plans for other ASWs. A lot of different schools have ASWs the March 31st-April 2nd weekend, when the RTK interviews are happening*cannonballer wrote:+180slippin_jimmy wrote:Wonder how much longer RTK calls will go out... *crosses fingers*

Re: NYU c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
THIS. I applied for the public policy scholarship which is interviewing the same weekend. While I think my chances are slim to none, it would create a domino effect disaster on my ASWs if I went ahead and booked things and then got an invite.EnderWiggin wrote:

Yep. Combined with the fact that NYU makes you apply for reimbursement(?) there are other ASWs that might make more sense for me.tflan19 wrote:THIS. Has anyone heard back on any of the named schollies aside from RTK? I'm assuming it's similar notification protocol as RTK but no one seems to have reported anything.

Would hate to get anyone's hope up for RTK or other stuff (and I have no idea whether the different programs are at all correlated on this front), but just got a Jacobson Leadership Program interview invite, so something is moving on that front...

So NYU sent us that email about decisions between now and the end of April... Does that mean we could hear back after ASW?

I have a tentative hold on my calendar for the ASW at the end of March. Putting it there probably guaranteed a waitlist. But I promised work that I'd put when I'm out of the office on the calendar.

Looking at the timeline chart on MyLSN...They are still sending out a fair number of acceptances in March, but there is a very slim chance that a decision in April will be an acceptance. It is when they send out waitlist notifications and their largest wave of rejects.James.K.Polk wrote:So NYU sent us that email about decisions between now and the end of April... Forget a decision, I would just welcome a date change at this point. Just some reassurance that my application is alive and not forgotten after UR1

Good to know - that's a useful chart. I suppose I'm not expecting more than a WL but (selfishly) a trip to NYC would be a lot of fun...squirtlesquad14 wrote:Looking at the timeline chart on MyLSN...They are still sending out a fair number of acceptances in March, but there is a very slim chance that a decision in April will be an acceptance. Any news on non-named merit awards? Tried searching the thread but it seems to mainly just be named awards

Looks like nothing so far. Letters went out last year on Feb 22, so hoping for any day.redsxfan2010 wrote:Any news on non-named merit awards? Tried searching the thread but it seems to mainly just be named awards
