According to the google group, they've admitted a little more than 100 ppl. I think that is a close estimate to the number of people actually admitted. All you need is an email address to join the google group, and I don't imagine that many of the admits lack email addresses.

This can't be right. This would mean SLS is planning on throwing out ~180 acceptances by the end of April? If that's the case, then that's great, but even at SLS's painful pace, I have to imagine they've given out more than a third of their total acceptances.

True, but people do not always join groups like that/its not really a big deal on their website.

Calling LSN applicants 20% of the acceptance pool (where 17% seems more reasonable based on regulus' sheet), 270 people have been admitted. I think that number is probably a little more realistic. That still leaves admissions, so thats not unreasonable for late march.

I think there are around or maybe a little less than 50 acceptences remaining. For people who applied early Dec or before but are still waiting for a decision, I think they "held" us in the admission office until they see how the entire applicant pool looks, and they only did that because apps are down and they don't want to prematurely reject someone. In other words, we are probably a rejection but may have a shot depending if whatever they kept us for happens to be a lack in their admit pool by April.

Wow. This could be good news for those that weren't touched since September, November, and early Dec. They had two chances to ding us but they didn't. Sure, there's another ding wave coming but it seems likely that most of those will be the ones that applied after or during the second ding wave, the ones that, though they wanted to ding em, they couldn't in time (auto-digns). The first giant waitlist wave seems to be more for us, the ones that missed the two ding and acceptance waves. That, or, probably for a very few of us, the small acceptance wave coming in. :) Good luck all!

While the odds are still against us <December applicants, it does seem that almost all of the admits in April last year were people who applied in the fall. Obviously the dings/WLs greatly outnumber the admits, but it seems that most of these went to later applicants.

No worries. I'm at home sick as a dog and that's actually distracting me from feeling too bad about it. :P

I am sort of looking forward to DLS at this point. I have abandoned (almost) all hope of being accepted and I would just like some closure.
