That's good to hear. Thanks for sharing.letsjustsee wrote:Coming off Priority Reserve at Duke does not appear to impact one's ability to be provided scholarship aid. I was accepted off Priority Reserve, and I received a scholarship. From what I can tell, the amount of my scholarship seems no different from those who were accepted without having to go through Priority Reserve.
Do not lose hope, because Duke's Priority Reserve is far from the death sentence that many waitlists can be.
Related: Duke Law's admissions staff are incredibly friendly, personable, and involved. They seem to really take note of a GENUINE interest in Duke.

Withdrawn due to deadline.
I loved duke, but not enough to move to north carolina for three years.
Good luck everyone. $81K back in the pool.

Withdrew. Most difficult decision of the cycle. Whoever chooses to attend school here is extremely fortunate and will reap high rewards. Best of luck to those on the wait list. I sincerely hope you get off in due course and matriculate here.

In case you guys are interested, Dean Hoye mentioned taking people off of the waitlist in his email to the incoming students today:
The fall entering class is very close to capacity, and I anticipate it will be completely full later this week after we offer just a few available seats to especially strong candidates on our Priority Reserve or regular waiting lists. Because the number of admitted applicants who committed to Duke matched our projections, the overall size of the incoming class will be right on target. The Class of 2016 will include approximately 205 new first-year students.

Seriously, thank you for sharing. This seemingly doesn't bode well for getting money off the PR or regular wait-list. But some news is better than no news.fallingup wrote:In case you guys are interested, Dean Hoye mentioned taking people off of the waitlist in his email to the incoming students today:

Good news for the waitlisters still hanging out here! Just withdrew my summer start spot and sending $67,500 back into the pot! Good luck to all you Duke hopefuls! It's a beautiful school and a great program but Durham just didn't excite me too much. I'm off to Ann Arbor to attend Hogwarts!

^Don't even bother. Seriously. Some people will never get the appeal, but all that matters is that you do.
