Too bad I can't afford to place deposits down at more than one school. If they don't say anything before mid-April then I definitely won't be attending BU.

I let them know when my first deposit was due and they said they would let me know if I would receive money before that date.
I think BU is my first deposit due. I would hope that they would let me know by then...

I was planning on bugging them about $$ starting the first week of April if they hadn't sent me anything by then. So hopefully I'll hear from them sometime in the next week and save myself the effort. :)

Hadn't checked my mail in a while but BU increased my scholarship from $35,000 to $37,000 a year. I sent my WashU scholarship in an email a month ago and forgot I even asked.

Just got my admit packet today in the mail. "The first deposit of $500 is due April 15, 2012. The second deposit of $500 is due June 1, 2012."

I wasn't expecting to be admitted so it's a very pleasant surprise though in all likelihood, I won't be getting a scholarship or grants.

I don't think I'm going to attend unless I magically get a merit scholarship. highly doubting my LSAT is high enough... I may call and annoy them on Monday.

Let me know how that goes. I have similar numbers and would need a scholly to attend.

Anyone headed to the March 30th preview day? I'm going to be there and will be sticking around Boston for a couple of days afterwards if anyone wants to sightsee/hang out.

I'm not but thought people may be interested in reading the three commentaries on this past Friday's ASD on the other BU thread (under Class of 2015 thread).

Are you going to be there Thursday night? If so we could try and round up a group on here to meet up somewhere.

I would guess most people in the area Thursday night will be attending the alumni reception.

BU pretty much sent me a duplicate of their original admit package, which is really weird. Still waiting on that merit scholly, if it exists.

You've got to me kidding me.

BU just sent me some dumb history time-line thing. I honestly don't care that tuition for all three years was $150 in 1872.

They told me scholly info was sent at the end of last week. Ahhhhhhhh.

I got two of those, though with different letters. I thought it was interesting, but I really just wanted to know my scholarship when I got the first one.

Good luck!

Honestly, I think telling me how low tuition was back then was a subtle way of telling me I got no scholarship. Just frustrated because my mailbox is locked, and I don't have a key. Other mail could be in there, but I can't reach it.

Really need to get a key.

Good luck to you too!

I'm getting in super late Thursday night, so I won't be around to do stuff then. I'll poke my nose in the class of 2015 thread and see what's going on.

Has anyone who was accepted earlier this month received scholarship money?

I called up FinAid yesterday and they pretty much told me that if I hadn't received a merit scholarship with my acceptance, I wasn't going to get one. I'll probably be withdrawing soon.

No bueono, did you try to negotiate with other schollys at all? Or did they just flat out say we don't give a rats ass what you've received elsewhere?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
