So if you haven't received anything in the mail...
...how does Columbia do subsequent admissions? Does it have decision windows like Chicago?

Are you asking if they have a few big days where they make decisions with nothing in-between? No. There seems to be a pretty steady stream of a few a day until at least the end of February based on last year, though so far that hasn't held true for this year.likemike wrote:So if you haven't received anything in the mail...

Already received a VCE last week, but I just heard that there's another envelope waiting for me at home in a pseudo-VCE envelope... admitted students package I'm guessing?

Wtf...with those numbers you should absolutely apply. In fact, with those numbers you should have already applied regardless of your URM status.ccmbr006 wrote:Samesies. 171/3.77/URM, any thoughts as to whether it's worth applying?
As a precautionary note: you should have applied to Harvard and Yale too.

Cheapass me didn't apply anywhere without a fee waiver. I was concerned that this late in the game, I'd be boned.WhiteGuy5 wrote:Wtf...with those numbers you should absolutely apply. If you don't get into a T6 this cycle. Wait, apply next cycle. You have a pretty decent shot at Harvard.ccmbr006 wrote:Cheapass me didn't apply anywhere without a fee waiver. Re: Columbia c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I mean... do you understand how much law school is going to cost? Man some decisions just absolutely boggle my mind. Sit on the street and beg for spare change if that's what it takes to apply to schools that don't give you a fee waiver. I don't mean for that to sound douche, even though it does. You've worked your ass off to have great numbers, have some perspective and realize what 100 bucks means when you're talking the best law schools in the country.ccmbr006 wrote:Cheapass me didn't apply anywhere without a fee waiver. Can anyone quickly explain what the "Voldemort" thing is that everyone is talking about?

I have no idea. It just looks like there isn't a whole lot of action for us late folks yet in this cycle, and it seems to have picked up around now last cycle for the late December/Jan crowd. Unless I'm totally reading it wrong.WhiteGuy5 wrote:So early-November and before submitters who haven't heard anything back = not good...

FWIW, schools supposedly do this towards the end of the cycle to up their application #s. Idk your numbers or softs so it might be worth applying, but if you're a huge longshot you might save yourself the $16. good luck either way!
Yeah, I figured about as much. Why not, I guess.
