March starts on that page, and out of ~140 March decisions only about 6 were acceptances. So there's still a tiny chance, but it basically looks like a mass WL.

Also got my scholarship bumped from $30k/y to a full ride (letter noted it would increase to cover any tuition increases in the future as well). Info in LSN in profile.

I think at this point, if you haven't received a decision then you will be WL in the coming weeks if you just don't do anything. But if you submit a LOCI it looks like you will get in, maybe even with a merit scholarship! So if you're really serious about going to UVA, write a LOCI now.

What's the difference between a LOCI and a "Why UVA?" (assuming the applicant never sent one to begin with).

I just sent a LOCI because it has been over a month and a half since I have had any movement. It is pretty much the same thing. The Dean responded within 10 minutes and said he would add it to my file and be in touch shortly.

I sent them my other offers and I would be hugely disappointed if they didn't at least match a peer school's offer. Sucks to be below the LSAT median.

For people negotiating, do you have any idea how long it takes to hear back from UVa with an offer or a non-offer?

So I've been UR since 12/29 and I sent an LOCI/Why UVA and got a response saying they'd received it 3 weeks ago. However, I haven't heard anything since then... so my question is, in light of the really depressing looking stats for March, do I send another LOCI? UVA is my top choice, but I don't really have anything new to say, other than outright begging for them to let me in, and 3 weeks isn't really that long ago... Also, I'm on the upper end of their 75th percentile for LSAT and GPA, so I don't think my numbers should be a problem and I have pretty good softs... WHY UVA??

Rejected via e-mail 2:32 pm :(

oh well, was expecting a rejection anyway...and even if I did get in, it would have been without $$ and its hard to turn down the amazing offer I received from W&M (instate, plus 15k which brings tuition down to around 8k - and in addition to that a 4k stipend...) UVA probably would not have been worth the money anyway...

167/3.75

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE ELSE :) :)

really? I thought you had to be a ways above their range for that? but if they are doing that can they please let those other schools know, because I'm still waiting to hear from them.. :P
in all seriousness though, is there anything else I can do? I really want to go to UVA...

About a week ago Jason Dugas said that admitted students would be learning about offers very soon. I had also heard elsewhere on TLS that the first two weeks of March would be open season for merit scholarships at UVA. Keep an eye on your inbox I guess.

Anyone have an idea of splitters chances at getting in off the waitlist? 178 but 3.1 (no why UVA) and wondering if its a legit waitlist or just a soft reject.

I know, I know, I should have ED but when WUSTL threw so much money I didn't want to commit to sticker.
