My goal is to get to NYC Biglaw so I can work in sports someday. LA is an okay market for sports too, and UCLA does have twinges of sending kids to firms in NYC, but it's not exactly what I want.mr_toad wrote:@pereira6
Wow, if I had your money at UCLA, I'd choose that... if I wanted to live in Cali later (and I do)...
I'm from Western NY, and I haven't had much travel experience at all. I'm not a homebody by any means (I'm quite a fan of change, and I adjust very easily to surroundings), but transplanting to LA might be juuuust too much to handle. Plus, I'm really not sure about how that state of California is going...I don't think I want to work there after I graduate.
Part (not a significant portion, but enough to matter) of the $ I have listed is need-based, and you never know how that's going to change. I multiplied what I got by 3 just for whatever, but that probably would change.
I really thought I'd get some $ to Michigan or Duke. The double WL burned really bad. I loved those schools a lot and would have attended.
Edit: However, there is a reason I'm visiting (and really excited, I might add) UCLA. I am definitely considering it and if I am impressed I will attend! I also hate cold weather so much. I might be used to it sicne I've had it my whole life, but it still sucks a lot.
