I don't wanna wait till Februaryyyyyy- so I'm gonna go on pretending this is the week!!

From this thread, I assume that decisions will come:

Probably today.....Probably this month....Problably next month....Probably this year

Do we have any Columbia undergrads in this thread who can do some reconaissance?

They said soon as in early February
However, if history repeats itself, people will receive acceptances via snail mail starting this weekend.
Seeing as they were in the same position last year, there is still hope for this weekend!

They're probably just being conservative in case the mail takes a long time.

Well, at least now I know I don't have to bother checking this thread again until February. Carry on with the "TODAY IS THE DAY!! I FEEL IT@!!!!" posts.

February?! Ouch.

Starting to feel like applying earlier in the season might not have been the best move for my sanity. The waiting anxiety is far worse than any other anxiety I've felt in connection with this whole crazy process

I like this interpretation of this whole mess. Definitely.

I'm hoping this is why! They probably don't want to deal with anything like the hilarious shit-storm NYU got when they put "decision mailed" on like, the 3rd and letters didn't get there for a week.

KEEP THE HOPE ALIVE.

^ lmao i had almost forgotten how nerve-wracking that was. my finals just didn't stand a chance...calling my parents 3x/day to ask if they had seen anything purple in the mail and stalking TLS to see if anyone else recieved their purple envelope yet was a muchhh better use of my time.

I like how in response to being told that decisions are coming out in February, everyone here is like, "Nope! This week is the week! It happened this way last year! Hang on to your hats!"

Don't get me wrong, that is why I love it here!

hmm.. Columbia didnt request my report w/ my new grades from LSAC. Im assuming they are close to getting decisions locked in so Im kind of sad my new grades probably wont be considered.

My heart dropped when I read this. I hope all your predictions about conservative guessing are right. My friends are so tired of me going insane over law school decisions.

Dear Columbia,

There's no need for a fancy letter. A Post-it note that says "Dear law_monkey, We want you!" would work just as well.

Thanks!

when did LSAC process it? For me- it took LSAC a day to generate the report, then took Columbia another day to request it, so they still might get a chance to see your gpa increase!

Do they not get the updates until they request the update? Columbia hasn't requested my updated grades and HLS hasnt requested my updated transcript or my extra LOR. :(

Weird, my new grades/LOR just got to LSAC two days ago, but they're both already at Columbia/Harvard (ie. shown on the status checker).

HLS states they have my LOR, but how do you know whether hls and columbia got your updated transcripts?

Well if it makes you feel any better, my application only went complete today. So I won't even get to hear anything whether by late Jan or early Feb.
