In Gainesville, hopefully it comes here today, this is getting ridiculous either our postal service is extremely inefficient or those letters were mailed out nowhere near the times we were told.

I think "Letter Issued" means they filled in the spot after "Dear" with our names.
They probably get sent days later.

They really shouldn't tell us that they mailed it when they clearly didn't. Not to beat a dead horse but I could have CRAWLED there and back many times, no the dollar coupon from target was not what I wanted in my mailbox today.....

That's actually very true, all my friends who have heard of my painful waiting mentioned different times where Gainesville post office has messed things up for them(lost packages/taking too long). On an unrelated note, I've also been here four years now and feel fairly knowledgeable about the area so I'll be happy to answer any questions? Something I feel I should let everyone know is Gainesville is the bad driver capital of the world and every time I set foot in my car someone almost always crashes into me(usually they are neglecting the concept of stop signs). So drive at your own peril. I just drove home experienced my daily dose of lousy driving and felt it would be good for you guys to know.

Okay, so its only when I read this , now I'm confused...I'm almost certain my status orgianlly said LIT, but now it says letter issued...I have no idea if that's any difference or what

Mine says letter issued, with letter in transit being one of the mail things on the bottom left.

Regarding merit aid, I was told directly by an email that "The Committee meets on a regular basis to review candidate files and if you are awarded a scholarship, you will receive notice by the end of March."

merit/need is different from merit alone.
