I had a similar experience in the Fall. I wrote asking if I were complete and I got two emails back: one saying yes, and another that was their boilerplate "Complete" email.CardinalRules wrote:They probably found it but never got around to sending the confirmation. Stanford's email communications have been spotty in my case; they didn't send me a completion email until I wrote them to ask about it, but my file had long before been complete.Kronk wrote:

My experience was precisely what you describe. I doubt that we ever would have received confirmation had we not asked.skynet wrote:I had a similar experience in the Fall. Re: Stanford 2010!!!
is it standard LOCI email protocol to attach the letter as a word document (addressed to Dean Deal)? if so, what do you write in the body of the email? (sorry if these questions have been asked umpteen times).

Lol! Well then, I stand corrected. I guess going off the impression she gave at the presentation would lead people astray. She didn't give explicit guidance then, which dudester has provided.dudester wrote:what dudester said

You might be better off sending it as a pdf attachment so you don't have to worry about formatting issues.bloodonthetracks wrote:is it standard LOCI email protocol to attach the letter as a word document (addressed to Dean Deal)? if so, what do you write in the body of the email? I don't know if it is standard but it is what I did so at least you won't be alone.

Re: Stanford 2010!!!
I sent in a LOCI because I was so worried that I needed to send one, but now I feel like it is terrible. And I just want to rip it out of cyberspace. It was not professional enough, was too long, and I just found a typo. Bleh. They probably were going to reject me anyway.

Anyone somewhat relieved this process is ending but extra anxious that the chance of being accepted is shrinking and shrinking with each passing day?
I mean, I'm not, at all... lol
