Same here. Submitted mid-December and got an email yesterday saying my application was complete.omegaweapon wrote:It took me about a month to go complete, so don't stress about it until then.humph wrote:File says application received as of 01/09.... Then they have the whole thing about taking 3-4 weeks to process the application. Does anyone know if it really takes that long to match LSAC stuff with the app? Or can I expect it to go under review sooner?

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Had my interview today. Was nervous but I found my inner awesome and I think it went very smoothly. No curve balls. Asked about my work experience (I have law experience), why law school (and tailored to my profile, why law school for me if I’m already doing law), a time I messed up at work and how I handled it, and something I’m really proud of. And time for my questions.
These questions (and more) have already been thrown out on the thread. If you prep off the list, you’ll do fine! Go get em, 2018!

All these interview posts are really making me wish I had submitted earlier. I went complete mid/early December still waiting on JS1 if it is ever going to come.

Have there been an abnormally large number of December retakers this year?LSCHI wrote:Seems reasonable. I would also venture to say that the number of December retakers slowed the process a bit.2666 wrote:I agree they might want to know better about the pool to maintain their median but I don't think that' the reason they are holding the decisions. They can still give out JS2s to those 180/179/178s anyway. I would vote for the "different Faculty Review process" theory.

I don't know that we have that data -- don't see it on LSAC's site (http://www.lsac.org/lsacresources/data).tonysoprano wrote:Have there been an abnormally large number of December retakers this year?LSCHI wrote:Seems reasonable. Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Had my JS1 the other day. It went really well. It started a few minutes past when it was scheduled, and we went a couple minutes over, so I apologize to whoever was interviewed after me. It was very conversational, with no question coming that really either wasn't on the list of potential questions others have noted or was a question that was very specific to my resume/personal statement. My interviewer keyed in on an internship I held for a long time that was prominent/unusual and so most of the interview centered around that and "Why Harvard".
For those who have JS1s coming up, don't be nervous. I actually enjoyed the conversation and it went by quickly. Just prepare with the questions people have already mentioned, and be confident. My interviewer laughed quite a bit throughout, and we ended on a good note. I actually feel very confident post interview.

I didn't get those questions either. My questions were all very specialized to my app.kadyevna wrote:am i the only one who didn't get a "why harvard" or "why law" question? maybe i should be worried?

So no movement at all today, eh? I'm surprised - really thought there would be at least a JS1 wave.

Not sure about prior to this, but last year they didn't release decisions on MLK day (I also wouldn't put much weight into the following because the cycle is different, but there were small JS1 and JS2 waves the days after).Hat.trick wrote:Does anyone know if they have previously released decisions on MLK day? i get excited about every monday

I think Penn is closed Monday, so I wouldn't be surprised if Harvard was too.pylon wrote:Not sure about prior to this, but last year they didn't release decisions on MLK day (I also wouldn't put much weight into the following because the cycle is different, but there were small JS1 and JS2 waves the days after).Hat.trick wrote:Does anyone know if they have previously released decisions on MLK day? i get excited about every monday

I wished schools would communicate more with applicants throughout the admissions process. Post a quick update on social media... When they will be sending waves, when they are closed etc...

It's a day of remembrance for Martin Luther King Jr. One of the most influential individuals from the civil rights movement.

Oh right, thanks for that; so it's an important day then. thought it was like an American version of a bank holiday or something, it being on a Monday.Dream_weaver32 wrote:http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_L ... g,_Jr._Daymusedreverie wrote:Hey guys! what's MLK?

I think JS1s will definitely be sent out next week as slots are reportedly open on the 27th/28th.
No light at the end of the tunnel for the JS2s tho

Agree definitely JS1 next week may be followed with JS2 a couple of weeks later. Esp if their first ASW is march 7! Seems courteous to give people a couple weeks to book travel accomodations and whatnot.

Yeah! What's scary though is that even if we say three weeks to make arrangements, that still means they don't have to necessarily send acceptances until mid-Februarywhompwhomp wrote:Esp if their first ASW is march 7! We may see faster turnaround time soon with JS1 leading to JS2 in a matter of 1-2 weeks.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
