The third LOR is from a US professor who I did some post-Uni research work with. I'd definitely like to send it in, but am getting antsy about waiting longer with these applications.

tl;dr: if I have an outstanding LOR, can I send my app in without it and then send it along later?
pretty sure you can - some schools provide the option of keeping your file on hold until all letters are received, but if you just want to throw it in later without them holding your file I think you can do that as well. Of course, this does mean that at some places (viz., the more efficient ones) they will consider your file without the letter, so if you think the latter can make a genuine difference you may want to hold off on submitting to schools that don't provide the option to hold off on reviewing your file.

Yup. I've gotten acceptances and my final LOR still isn't in. And as long as you designate it on the LSAC website, I believe it auto-forwards anywhere you've applied once your prof submits.

I've been putting my UG transcript addendum under C+F is there is no option for unspecified addenda
Thanks hand but I'm gonna QFNP because I wanna crowd source a little more.

Anybody else getting nervous because of an unsubmitted LOR? I asked a professor in May to write one, and he said he'd be happy to help, but now he isn't responding to my reminder email about the upcoming deadline. I'm starting to think he forgot that he agreed to write a recommendation for me.

Create one large addendum that address of all the relevant issues in subsections or combine them for one all-encompassing statement.

I received my first acceptance letter today and the director of admissions hand wrote a note at the bottom of it. Is this normal?

I think it just depends on the school. I got an acceptance package this week and the director of admissions included a handwritten card, but I don't expect that from everybody.

Guys, I just realized I submitted the wrong LOR to SLS, ie I had a targeted LOR and I sent the general one by mistake! My application has been submitted for review according to the status checker as of 10/27/14... I emailed admissions but does anyone know how I should try to fix this? Or if other people have made the same mistake?

Yes, I'm in the same boat. Have followed up twice and starting to get frustrated

Admissions will add the targeted letter to your file and you'll be fine.
Don't worry. Mix ups like this are super common.

Personal Statement party?

I recently finished my first draft, and uh after reading some phenomenal examples, I've realized it needs a lot of work. There's a lot I want to say that's not there, and I'm at 2 pages, so I'm not sure what I should add and what I should omit. It also needs a wealth of proofreading and some tasteful thesaurus work.

Anyway, I'm proposing a google hangout in which we all take turns critiquing each other's personal statements. Who's down?

I'll take a look at yours if you want me to, but mine is already gold and submitted to just about everybody, so I don't need any critiquing. You PM me your latest draft.
