Howdy Folks!
Long time listener, first time caller. Waitlisted about two weeks ago. Stats on profile. Look like I'm in this for the long haul!

What do you mean? As in, done giving replies? I think they pretty much have to tell you one way or the other eventually.Scvaz7 wrote:I'm sorry to hound this thread but did I miss the memo that they were done? I'm really confused

We're essentially in no man's land. At this point in the game, Law schools have offered x amount of acceptances expecting (x-y) number of deposits for Z amount of seats (the number of seats being the most fixed number). Most deposit deadlines are on April 15 to accept the scholarship offers. To ensure that Z is met, schools have placed a certain amount of students on the waitlist/hold and "application complete" pile to hedge their bets.
After April 15, we're going to see more movement and decisions made to "trim the fat" as it were. Nothing is really set, the entire law school landscape is flexible at this point despite many ASW events that have occurred. I'm assuming more movements will be made when HYS finalize all their decisions in a sort of trickle down effect.

Waitlisted as of this morning. Stats in profile. I'm just glad to have a response at this point - in fairness I applied to Michigan very late.

I was waitlisted yesterday morning as well. Have you received an e-mail or did you just find out through the status update?schnaupal wrote:Waitlisted as of this morning. Stats in profile. I'm just glad to have a response at this point - in fairness I applied to Michigan very late.
I ask because I have yet to receive an e-mail and am curious as to whether that's just because it was updated over the weekend.

Hey Applicants,
For those of you on the waitlist, I know that finding housing in Ann Arbor can be a bit of a pain since you have less time to scout things out and lock something down.
However, as decisions from the admissions office continue to trickle in, I hope you guys will consider applying to live in the Phid House. There are several great reasons to join Phid:
1. Cheapest Rent on Campus - Our housemates pay $450 a month in rent which includes all amenities (e.g., water, electricity, wireless internet and cable, house Netflix/HBO GO accounts). Also, active board members can get up to a $100 discount on monthly rent.
2. Proximity to the Law School - We're only a block away from Hutchins Hall. You can wake up 7 minutes before class and still have time to grab a coffee without being late.
3. Diverse and Fun Community of Law Students - The Lawyer's Club can't offer you an immediate network of 2L and 3L housemates. We can. These guys have been through the challenges of 1L and are more than happy to help new housemates navigate the confusion of the first year. They're also pretty fun to hang out with.
You can apply online at http://www.phidhouse.org/. Although the deadline for applying technically expires tomorrow, please feel free to send us an app once you receive a decision from MLaw. We look forward to hearing from you!

Just got the waitlist email.
Disappointed. I would have definitely taken Michigan with $$$ over Harvard.

Waitlisted early this morning. Can't say I'm surprised. Late applicant + no why Michigan. Will likely be withdrawing.

we've talked about it a bit in the accepted students thread, but it varies quite a bit - I'm guessing it'll vary even more, this late in the game, but for a while at least 2 weeks was the gold standardthrow stones wrote:checking in. have not received a decision yet, but was wondering what the timeline is between acceptance on status checker and scholarship info?

Any idea when Michigan began making offers to waitlisted applicants last year?

Thx for the info alex. And am i correct in thinking that the status checker updates once per person per day? So if i see complete with todays date, i shouldnt bother rechecking until tomorrow?
