Haven't checked my status checker yet but will do that shortly...Dean Deal was suuuuuuper nice on the phone, apologized for it taking them so long to make decisions this year, gave me a lot of the ASW info over the phone realizing it was such short notice etc. etc. It just really sounded like they are bogged down over there, but making very thoughtful decisions, so don't give up hope - although not gonna lie, I TOTALLY had lol.

*Edit: my status checker still says application submitted for review, which in paranoid TLS fashion makes me slightly concerned that I may have hallucinated the whole conversation...but my phone confirms that I had 4 minute phone call with a Palo Alto phone number at 10:12 this morning so I'm still pretty certain that it actually happened :)
Haha, from before people have said their status usually changes that night. So don't worry and enjoy!
LOL!!!!! I thought I hallucinated the convo too until I had the actual t-shirt in my hand:) I'm sure you didn't. MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR CONGRATS:-) See you at ASW?!

Maybe the Dean decided to accept only one person today from TLS so that we wouldn't lose all hope. It was getting kind of glum.

Ugh, it still is glum. As happy as I am for Operagrl (and for everyone else who will deservedly get calls in the next few days), new acceptances that don't involve me getting a call from the 650 make me want to scream. SCREAM.

I'm sure that makes me sound like a terrible person, but I am so tired of waiting on these law school applications and hoping for good news!

I might stop breathing every time that my rings.

Then, I get all irate because it's someone like my mom.

The worst, though, is when I get phone calls from 605...which is South Dakota. Sends me into a tailspin.

Might this be the March URM wave, and not explicitly the soft hold pile?

Also, more calls plzy.

I spent most of my life living on the coast. I've been around waves for much of that time, I've ridden above them, I've swum beneath them. I know waves, so believe me when I say this, Stanford: This is no Soft-Hold wave.

Congratulations to all new acceptances!!! On another note, every passing minute without getting a call, makes me more and more hopeless.

Looks like a URM soft hold wave.

Perhaps a non-URM soft hold wave will follow?

Pretty please?
