He got back to me, I am indeed in

No money though, which makes walking away from NU EVEN harder. Hopefully I can barter between the two though.

I received the call yesterday from Cordel and I ended up getting in!

My numbers are low (some of you would probably scoff), but UVA still saw something in my application. For those of you with weak stats keep up the hope! If they wait-listed you, they obviously saw something past the numbers. Something others with higher GPAs and scores, who they immediately rejected, did not have.

Don't forget Northwesterns cost of attendance is 7k more than uvas. So even at sticker that's a 21k scholarships

Congrats to all the new admits!

ETA: actually adds up to more than that using gulcs calculator. NW sticker is 293k vs uva sticker at 267k. So 26k including interest (of course I realize scholly amounts don't adjust for interest but still good to see the real difference in coa

I will definitely keep that in mind, thanks so much for that! I got 45K from NU so just COA isn't significant enough to sway me, but if UVA gave me even like...10K/year that would be a good match! ^_^

Where are you finding these COA calculators? I'm dumb and had no idea they existed o_o;;

Look on the school's website, they all have TCOA estimates, usually wherever they post their tuition.

Also, holy crap, google "uva law tuition" and it gives it to you right there.

http://www.law.virginia.edu/html/prospe ... uition.htm

Total non-resident for UVA is 71.8k

This is the best one that I've been using all cycle because it factors in tuition and Col hikes along with interest accrued

http://www.law.georgetown.edu/finaid/Ge ... ts1213.htm

Congrats on the scholly, you can factor that in to calculate your coa for nw

If this happens and I end up at NU, I'm gonna be pissed. Then again, if this happens and I get the call from Dugas then OK.

Because of numbers? I keep skimming profile but didn't see it explicitly listed.

and most don't mention it if they're not a URM type minority, since the box is to help figure out people's shot at admission and there's no point in writing yes if you're Asian or something.

Sorry I just saw your question. Yeah I am definitely an "ethnic minority" lol. There is no other way I would have been accepted with my numbers :) (but I do have a couple of good softs)!

I just wanted to let everyone know who is still waiting that those who have been accepted off of the waitlist this week have until Friday to make their deposit...so there might be some movement next week! Good Luck!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
