So after my 2 recent UCRs, should I be expecting to hear back on Friday? After waiting so long to change from being complete I feel like hearing back so soon after going UR would be a miracle

for those who have been accepted-- Anyone else underwhelmed by the admitted students mailing from Penn? Mine was a big floppy thin envelope with one book on faculty, and a one page letter ("personal" note="congratulations!") saying I would get a more substantial package "in January". Maybe (OK, definitely) I am being a brat, or just really spoiled by NYU

edit to vent further: this is the tls equivalent of complaining to a bunch of starving refugees that the paprika and garlic in the third course of your four-course meal was a bit off-putting...

haha like I said I am being a brat. Sorry. At least for the people waiting to hear back, you can rest assured that you are not missing out on some amazing package in the mail. In fact on a positive note I am just glad that Penn called. I was not sure which schools would call vs. just sending something in the mail. The calling is a lot more personal and prevents the whole mailbox-watching saga that begins once one person on TLS gets a letter.
