Re: U Washington 2011 Applicants
Good news and bad news all.
Called in, spoke to Jessica and explained my situation (basically I will be in Portland and would like to combine the two trips if at all possible because I live far away so could they please release my decision via email).
She said sure thing I will get it out to you.
A few minutes later I received the email and I am sure you all know what the bad news is then.

Super, super bummed. Love the PNW and probably would have gone had I been accepted despite other strong offers. Such is life though I suppose.

Sorry about the ding, avrock.
See you in Portland this weekend, though! Is L&C your top now?

Re: U Washington 2011 Applicants
It is up there for sure. I have instate at UW-Madison + a scholly making tuition 12K. With my scholly at L&C its about 17K. I asked them to reconsider me for merit aid and if I can get them down to the same I would have a hell of a decision on my hands.Kinderby wrote:Sorry about the ding. I love the NW but I could live in WI as well. I know specialty rankings mean nothing, but I was an env. sciences major and would really like to do env. law. The course offerings there for env law are incredible and I wouldn't mind at all staying in Portland to do env/PI.
I also have decent money at Tulane and Emory, although Emory might be a little cost prohibitive. Now if I get off the WL at CU or Notre Dame all hell is going to break loose.

+1 but IR 1/21
I really hope that they can crank out an admission packet as fast as a WL/deny letter, otherwise this just made me more anxious.

Ok, well then I will take it as a good sign that it happened to just about everyone at the same time.

I'm sure this 3/11 batch is AT LEAST a mixed one. I'm sure there will be WLs and dings, but also acceptances!

Re: U Washington 2011 Applicants
Yeah, I mean I'm nervous, but maybe because the admissions office doesn't have much to do today, they are just processing all the mail, no matter what the decision. For the last couple spots filled with admits, I'm sure the dean was able to sign the letters on Friday or today so there would be no additional delay (especially with deposit deadlines coming up for so many people).Mr_Brightside wrote:I can't help but take it as a bad signfalias wrote:Ok, well then I will take it as a good sign that it happened to just about everyone at the same time.

You've got me worried now. I think I'm going to call tomorrow to try to get them to do the same thing (I emailed today, but no response). I've got almost identical numbers, so we'll see how that goes... :Stheavrock wrote:It is up there for sure. I have instate at UW-Madison + a scholly making tuition 12K. Heck yea! I am super stoked for Portland. Love that city, but my gf has never been there. The silver lining I suppose is that we get to spend all of our time in Portland as opposed to splitting it between Seattle and Portland.deja wrote:You've got me worried now. I know this is the U-dub thread but we oughta get a TLS meet up going in the L&C ASW thread.

Got a letter sent under mailings today as well (IR 1/24). I'm from Canada and need to plan a trip, so I think I'll email them and see if they can email me the decision. Best of luck to you all.

IR 1/21 --> DR 3/11 (3/14) Mailing
Just got a call from Mr. Le. He asked me if I had received any letters yet, I said no, and that I thought they went out today. He said he didn't want to make me wait and wanted to let me know that I am on the WL and that I should be happy about it. Well I'm freaking ecstatic, but now have to wait until May/June, sooo back in the waiting game I guess...
