In.
Had managed to retain zen and hadn't checked the admit site. Will do so now post-haste.

That actually happened to me as well. I'm stuck on 11/22slamp wrote:Has anyone heard from a LOR writer that Dean Cornblatt emailed them to thank them for their insight and time?
I just got word from one of mine that such an email was sent to him this morning. It doesn't say anything to the effect of we're letting [slamp] in, but it references me and the LOR writer by name. I wonder what this means, especially since I'm such a splitter.
FYI, this was the same LOR writer for almost all of my apps and he hasn't said anything about hearing from other schools.

I figure it can't be a bad sign, so here's to hoping. No change on my status checker though, latest complete update is 11/22, initially complete 10/4.forward21 wrote:Dean C seems to do stuff like this - he has called admits personally to praise their statements before they get decision letters. Probably a good sign.slamp wrote:Has anyone heard from a LOR writer that Dean Cornblatt emailed them to thank them for their insight and time?

Maybe it means we're actually going "In Review" now...slamp wrote:I figure it can't be a bad sign, so here's to hoping. No change on my status checker though, latest complete update is 11/22, initially complete 10/4.

At this point, I'd probably pass out if I got into GULC. Actually faint. It'd be awkward and probably mean a trip to the hospital if anyone saw it happen, and it'd be SO WORTH IT.

Oooh, I'm 11/22 and that was my 5th or 6th update, applied 10/20. If they were actually deciding, that'd be awesome.

Nope, I had a pretty standard application. I am ED but have been from the start.birdlaw117 wrote:I have no idea. But you did make me nervous enough that I had to check and see if I was still at 12/1 (I am).ODBCP wrote:Anybody care to speculate what it means to go from a 12/1 complete BACK to an 11/22??
This is getting ridiculous.
Did you send something in later than the rest of your app?
So, you people that aren't making any progress past late Nov, just know that some of us (or just me) are actually traveling backward in time. FML.

Re: GULC Waiting Thread
That sounds about right, since I think the TLSers who were 11/10 --> 11/23 --> 11/29 and who live in/around DC received their letters yesterday, and many more got them today. Obviously, could be 5 days for west coast.Kili wrote:So is it about a 3-4 day lag between 3rd completion date and letter arrival?

I'll let you know if/when I do, but I'm midwest, so I doubt I'm the first to report in (plus my mailman usually gets to my house around 7 at night).forward21 wrote:Any 12/1ers get a letter yet?

Re: GULC Waiting Thread
Anyone see this? Evening division applicants take note
.
3. Changes to the Evening and Day Divisions. As you probably know, Georgetown Law already boasts the #1 Evening Program in the Country. This week, faculty approved a proposal to make the Evening Program even stronger. Under the proposal, next year’s §7 will go from about 130 students (currently the largest of the sections) to about 80, and its small sections will also decrease in size from about 33 to 27 students per. To make the program more attractive to working students, the course load will also decrease from 24.0 credits to 20.0., and Friday classes will be eliminated for 1Es. Day sections will also be getting smaller next year, as the faculty approved a measure to add a new §5 to the current four day sections. Thus, each section will drop from about 115/120 students to around 100 students. The overall size of next year’s Day and Evening sections combined won’t change (only the distribution) and these changes won’t affect any current students. To get the full text of the proposal, click here.
