Anyone else have a similar experience? Any hope of getting in off the waitlist?
seems like you were YP'd
Doubt it.
It was probably the January app. They were probably out of spots.

My experience with Fordham: First thing to know is they don't give anyone more than $25k, combined need based and merit based. I got my financial aid package, was a few thousand short of maxing out, so I went in to talk to a financial aid counselor about it. She was friendly and told me to send her my other offers, and she would talk to them for me. I sent her a casual email, with my other offers, and she called me a few days later to say they increased it.
can you share your numbers? I also think they give more aid to URMs for the same numbers.
It's not about my numbers, most of my money was need based anyway. The point is that everyone is asking for money. Going in person and having a conversation is a much more effective way of asking for it. They learn a little about you and in my case, she liked me enough to advocate on my behalf.
Some person at ASD actually asked the dean of financial aid, in front of a room full of people, whether other school's merit based aid offers would sway Fordham into giving more aid. Of course he said no. But if she had a private conversation with him about it, I'm sure they would have worked something out.

Does anyone know if traditionally there is any movement off the waitlist for the Part-Time program? Would it be more or less than the Full-Time?

Well, it's different for need based aid. I agree that in person talks are more effective sometimes. I talked to them in person and basically I was told that since my family income is too much for need based aid they couldn't give me any. And, the merit aid that I received was based on my lsat score so I couldn't have that increased either unless I magically came up with more LSAT points. They also want to attract more URMs that is why they are more flexible with aid in some cases- I know people with lower LSAT scores than mine who received more merit money because Fordham wants a more diverse class.
So it's not necessarily true that those of us who were denied for more aid don't know how to negotiate, it's just that our options are more limited, especially if we do not qualify for need based money.

I don't know how the numbers in the two programs compare, but traditionally there has been movement off the wait lists for both the Part-Time and Full-Time programs. Fordham really does use those lists. Hang in there!

I was admitted kinda late and am just getting around to filling out my fafsa/financial aid forms. Anyone know if being a little late in the game will affect my need aid award at all?

Just sent an email to Stephen Brown begging him to render a decision before April 15th. I was told a few weeks ago by admissions that I'd hear back from them before the 15th, but as of Friday the 8th there was nothing. So I called yet again and they advised me to just send an email directly to Stephen Brown himself.
I'm hoping that my interest and constant badgering will give me a fighting chance.

I just called admissions to see what was up since I've been complete since the beginning of Feb and they just said "it might be a couple more weeks" :/

Is mailing in the form the only way to withdraw? If I can email my withdrawal, I'd like to do it now, while I have some time, as opposed to waiting until I can make it to the post office.

Am I a post-doctoral student in the school of FU. However, no I didn't go to Fordham UG, and yes and I was talking about the threads.

Just got in via e-mail. Anyone have an idea of how long until we hear about aid? Seat deposits are due very, very soon =\.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
