I know Vandy's seat deposit is non-refundable, but can you put down a deposit at Vandy and another school to which you are accepted? Or does Vandy's seat deposit specify that you have to withdraw from all other school's to which you are accepted? What if you are accepting a scholarship? Would someone who has their form in front of them mind checking? Thanks!

I've got the gold-colored "Seat Deposit Form" right in front of me, and I don't see anything that would force you to withdraw from other schools.

You should still check it out yourself though.

I've got the gold-colored "Seat Deposit Form" right in front of me, and I don't see anything that would force you to withdraw from other schools.

You should still check it out yourself though.

I cannot confirm this but was told last year that the law schools send to LSAC in June or so a list of deposits sent to their school that then get circulated to other law schools to discourage multiple deposits. Take it with a grain but may be worth investigating before putting down multiple seat deposits.

Nearly all schools that participate in this report their students who have put down both the initial and secondary deposit.

You have nothing to fear from making the first deposit at a school unless they explicitly state that it is binding.

Forza got a full ride to NYU so he's headed there. I think he was all Vandy until that fell into his lap.

Pearl! Glad to hear the news. I'm still waiting on the Texas money, but it looks like I'm on track to receive about the same money as Vandy, in which case I'm going Vandy. So right now I'm also about 99%.

...so if my decision was mailed 4/1...and I haven't gotten an email,...I can assume I was either WL or reject at this point in the cycle, correct? Just trying to get this all straight...running out of time and still have not heard from so many schools!

I'm still waiting to officially hear back from Michigan about my scholly negotiation, but considering all the other people with similar #'s who asked for $ got theirs in 2-3 days and its been 2 weeks since I asked, I pretty much know the answer. Probably a passive way for them to say that they're just not that into me, though I wish they'd just straight up say no so I didn't have to continue waiting.

I'll give them a call later this week just to make sure, but if I get no offered as I suspect is the case, I'm immediately sending in my Vandy check!

actually not that much, got 72K from Duke which is very fair considering they are ranked higher with slightly better prospects. But I'll be happier at Vandy, it's much closer to the currently long distance GF in alabama and happier = better performance, yes?
