Will definitely be attending!
why do you have a gpa if you are int'l?

3.67 is my GPA according to my undergrad school, but of course it's not an official lsac gpa, I just use it as an indicator really.
then what are your softs if you don't mind? Cause I have 169 and 3.7 and haven't heard a beep from them since the interview. BTW i'm int'l too

Do you think it's a bad sign if I applied end of December and haven't heard anything yet??

I just got off the phone with financial aid..I am "waitlisted for scholarship and financial aid"...Sounds to me like "please don't come to BU"...I've qualified for financial aid and received scholarship and grants at comparable schools so this just seems like BS...I'll be putting in a deposit elsewhere and withdrawing my acceptance this week, so hopefully that will free up some spots for the WL'ers, but I wouldn't count on financial aid if I were you...lame, BU.

Email them! I didn't have much luck over the phone, but got a informative and very nice email response. I just sent it to the general FA office.

+1 I've done all my corresponding through email, and the turnaround time is pretty quick.

I was also put on the scholarship waitlist. I'm really sad about it because I love BU, but I can't justify full price with money from BC.

Be patient. The waitlist moves a lot.

What can you say about the actual waitlist waitlist? My numbers are 163/3.8.

I called BU today with the same annoyance, and the Fin Aid staff informed me that my letter went out in the mail last week. Now I check my mail like a psycho.

I called today and was told that it is more likely that I'll hear about financial aid and federal loan eligibility after I submit my deposit. It seems kind of backwards because I think students would like to know how they are paying for school before they decide to attend.

I asked her if she would tell me the amount over and the phone and she said "Well, since you asked..." and told me the actual amount.

I don't really know... I knew of one high LSAT splitter, and two LSAT retakers that got off the WL.

I submitted a letter of scholarship negotiation, telling them I would commit if they would match another school's specific scholarship amount. While they didn't quite match it, they did offer me a 10K stipend for first year housing. Once I factor in all the money I saved up, plus the scholarship offer, BU would only put me about 25K in debt. This is becoming more and more temping, even at the expense of a T-6 school at sticker.

Waitlisted today via email. I expected to be rejected since I was denied by Fordham with my 3.3 and 167.

Typically, what percentage of people are accepted off the waitlist? 5%? 20%? Anyone know?

Ah thanks. I submitted an LOCI and they never responded to having received it so I may call sometime to verify and perhaps ask them about waitlist movement. Thanks Blindmelon!

Just got my $0 offer from BU in the mail today. Their letter stated they are out of scholarship and grant funds for the current class, unless additional money becomes available. So for anyone who hasn't heard, don't keep your hopes up.

That makes my choices BU sticker ($170k debt), USC sticker ($203k debt, GW (I'm assuming sticker - $211k debt), W&M 1/3 tuition (about $100k total debt), CU-Boulder (about $110k total debt), or Fordham with $7k/yr (or something like $190k total debt).

I kind of hate my life right now.
