However, if history repeats itself, people will receive acceptances via snail mail starting this weekend.4910 wrote:They said soon as in early FebruaryWhiskeyGuy wrote:Hey everyone, do we know when decisions will start coming out?

Re: Columbia 2010
OK, looking for a bit of advice.
I'm registered for the February LSAT, and today I got an email from Columbia saying that, given my plans to retake in February, they assume I'm requesting an exception to their policy of only accepting administrations up to December. In order for them to grant that exception, I would have to submit a written request, and the review of my application would be delayed.
My plan is to write back and ask them to proceed with the review of my application.
Good idea?
I have a 3.6, 173, which, I'm thinking, could be waitlist territory at Columbia. I was hoping that a higher score on the Feb LSAT might give me some little bump and help me get off that waitlist, should I land there. I'm willing to give it a shot, in any case. Any thoughts?

How did they find out you were taking the LSAT again in feb? Did you write it on your app? Do law schools know if you are signed up for the LSAT?

Re: Columbia 2010
Sounds you either go under review with a 173 or take the risk and get reviewed a month later with a different score. A lot depends on what you think that score will be -- do you have good reason to believe you will score higher?

Re: Columbia 2010
Do we know how serious Columbia is regarding their "we review applications in the order they are completed"? I know that they qualify this, and I wonder if they say it just to add a semblance of fairness to the process.

Hmm, last year's group wasn't nearly as absurd about all of this:
http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... &start=175
Not sure what that says about us...
Oh and, are we all IN AT COLUMBIA yet?
